Ipecac Recordings will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original movie 1922. The album features the film’s original music composed by Faith No More lead singer Mike Patton (The Place Beyond the Pines, Crank: High Voltage). The soundtrack will be released on July 20, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track from the score is already available to download here. 1922 is directed by Zak Hilditch and stars Thomas Jane, Molly Parker, Dylan Schmid, Kaitlyn Bernard, Brian d’Arcy and Neal McDonough. The movie is based on the novella by Stephen King and follows a farmer who pens a confession admitting to his wife’s murder, but her death is just the beginning of a macabre tale.

Premiering tonight is the Showtime original series White Famous created by Tom Kapinos and starring Jay Pharoa, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Jacob Ming-Trent, Lonnie Chavis and Meagan Good. The show’s original music is composed by Dhani Harrison & Paul Hicks (Learning to Drive, Good Girls Revolt, The Divide, Beautitful Creatures). Premiering on uesday, October 17, is the new AT&T Audience Network original series Hit the Road created by Peter Tilden & Jason Alexander who also stars in the show alongside Amy Pietz, Richard Dreyfuss, Natalie Sharp, Nick Marini, Tim Johnson Jr. and Maddie Dixon-Poirer. Jeff Toyne (Rogue, 9/11, Dirty Girl, You Me Her, Hot Bot) is composing the show’s original music. The comedy follows the members of a family band who traverse the country in a cramped tour bus sacrificing privacy, comfort and dignity while in search of fame and fortune. Mike Patton to Score ‘The Vatican Tapes’
Mike Patton has been hired to score the upcoming horror thriller The Vatican Tapes. The movie is directed by Mark Neveldine (Crank, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance) and stars Michael Pena, Djimon Hounsou, Dougray Scott, Kathleen Robertson, Peter Andersson, Olivia Dudley, John Patrick Amedori and Alex Sparrow. The movie centers on a series of events that unfold after a tape gets leaked from the Vatican displaying an exorcism that goes wrong. Christopher Borrelli has written the screenplay based on an original story by himself and Chris Morgan (Fast Five, Wanted). Tom Rosenberg & Gary Lucchesi (Million Dollar Baby, Underworld, The Lincoln Lawyer) are producing the Lakeshore Entertainment production with Chris Cowles.

Three new movies are opening wide this weekend:
Already in theaters since yesterday is the action sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation directed by Jon M. Chu and starring Dwayne Johnson, D.J. Cotrona, Byung-hun Lee, Ray Park, Adrianne Palicki, Jonathan Pryce, RZA, Ray Stevenson, Channing Tatum and Bruce Willis. The film’s score is composed by Henry Jackman (X-Men: First Class, Wreck-It-Ralph). Varese Sarabande Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music digitally. Milan Records will release the official soundtrack album for the crime drama The Place Beyond the Pines. The album features the film’s original music composed by Mike Patton who is best known as the lead singer of Faith No More and has previously scored Crank: High Voltage. Also included are a number of other tracks featured in the film by The Cryin’ Shames, Arvo Part, Ennio Morricone and Bon Iver. The movie is directed by Derek Cianfrance (Blue Valentine) and stars Ryan Gosling as a motorcycle stunt rider who starts robbing banks to support his newborn son until he crosses paths with a determined young cop-turned politicisn, played by Bradley Cooper. Rose Byrne, Eva Mendes, Ben Mendelsohn, Ray Liotta, Dane DeHaan and Emory Cohen are co-starring. Sidney Kimmel (The Lincoln Lawyer, Lars and the Real Girl) is producing the drama with Alex Orlovsky, Lynette Howell and Jamie Patricof (Blue Valentine, Half Nelson). Patton who is best known as the lead singer of the metal rock band Faith No More has previously scored two features, The Solitude of Prime Numbers, and most notably Crank: High Voltage starring Jason Statham.
