Paramount Music will release the first-ever official soundtrack album for the 1999 crime thriller Double Jeopardy directed by Bruce Beresford and starring Ashley Judd, Tommy Lee Jones, Bruce Greenwood and Annabeth Gish. The album features the original music from the Paramount Pictures production composed by Normand Corbeil (The Art of War, Screamers, V, The Last Templar, Hitler: The Rise of Evil). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 18 and will be available to stream/download here. Double Jeopardy is now available on VOD and DVD.

Christopher Gordon Scoring Bruce Beresford’s ‘Ladies in Black’
Christopher Gordon has recently composed the music for the upcoming Australian drama Ladies in Black. The film is directed by Bruce Beresford (Driving Miss Daisy, Double Jeopardy) and stars Angourie Rice, Rachael Taylor, Julia Ormond, Alison McGirr, Vincent Perez, Ryan Corr, Susie Porter, Shane Jacobson and Noni Hazlehurst. The movie based on Madeleine St John’s novel The Women in Black is set in 1959 and tells the coming-of-age story of a suburban schoolgirl, who, while waiting for her final high school exam results, takes a summer job at a large department store.
Lifetime’s ‘Flint’ to Feature Music by John Debney
John Debney has composed the music for the Lifetime original movie Flint. The film is directed by Bruce Beresford (Driving Miss Daisy, Double Jeopardy) and stars Betsy Brandt, Jill Scott, Marin Ireland and Queen Latifah. The drama is inspired by the Time Magazine cover story The Toxic Tap by Josh Sanburn and tells the true story of a woman who deals with the toxic water scandal in Flint, Michigan, and the effect it has on her family. Barbara Stepansky (Hurt) wrote the script. Craig Zadan & Neil Meron (Hairspray, Empire, Smash) are executive producing the Sony Pictures Television production with Latifah and journalists Katie Couric and Shakim Compere.
Complete ‘Terms of Endearment’ Score Released
Quartet Records has announced the world premiere release of the complete score for the 1983 drama Terms of Endearment directed by James L. Brooks and starring Shirley McLaine, Debra Winger, Jack Nicholson, Jeff Daniels, John Lithgow and Danny DeVito. The film’s music is composed by Michael Gore (Fame, Pretty in Pink, Defending Your Life) who received an Academy Award nomination for his work on the film. The movie also ended up winning five Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director. The limited edition 2-CD set features the complete score presented in film order (including several alternate versions), as well as the Richard Hazard recordings of song standards not included in the final print of the movie on the first disc. Georges Delerue’s ‘Her Alibi’ Score Released
Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1989 romantic comedy Her Alibi directed by Bruce Beresford (Driving Miss Daisy) and starring Tom Selleck, Paulina Porizkova and James Farentino. The album features the film’s complete original score composed and conducted by Georges Delerue (Platoon, Steel Magnolias, Twins), including music deleted from the picture, as well as the composer’s own original source music.
