Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Monk, Appaloosa, Rome, Carnivale, Ugly Betty) is scoring the upcoming documentary Mike Wallace Is Here. The film is directed by Avi Belkin and centers on 60 Minutes newsman Mike Wallace who went head-to-head with the world’s most influential figures for half a century. The movie tracks Wallace’s storied career and troubled personal life while unpacking how broadcast journalism evolved to today’s precarious tipping point. Belkin is also producing the project with Rafael Marmor, John Battsek (How I Live Now, Studio 54), Peggy Drexler and Christopher Leggett (Becoming Bond).

‘Bigger’ Soundtrack Details
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the biographical drama Bigger. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award winner Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Rome, Monk, Appaloosa, Pollock, Ugly Betty, Carnivale). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, November 2 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Bigger is directed by George Gallo and stars Tyler Hoechlin, Julianne Hough, Calum Von Moger, Colton Haynes, Kevin Durand, Aneurin Barnard, Victoria Justice, DJ Qualls and Robert Forster. The movie tells the story of bodybuilding pioneer brothers Joe and Ben Weider, who against all odds, battled poverty and anti-Semitism to create the fitness industry as we know it.

Opening in most theaters is the biographical drama First Man directed by Damien Chazelle and starring Ryan Gosling, Claire Foy, Jason Clarke, Kyle Chandler, Corey Stoll, Ciarán Hinds, Christopher Abbott, Patrick Fugit and Lukas Haas. The film’s original music is composed by Justin Hurwitz (La La Land,Whiplash). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening nationwide is the mystery thriller Bad Times at the El Royale written and directed by Drew Goddard and starring Jeff Bridges, Cynthia Erivo, Dakota Johnson, Jon Hamm, Cailee Spaeny, Lewis Pullman, Nick Offerman and Chris Hemsworth. Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, Jurassic World, The Incredibles, Star Trek) has composed the film’s original score. Jeff Beal Scoring John Chester’s ‘The Biggest Little Farm’
Jeff Beal has recently recorded his score for the upcoming documentary The Biggest Little Farm. The film is directed by John Chester (Rock Prophecies, Euphoria) and follows the filmmaker and his wife Molly Chester, a culinary writer, who trade city life to start their own farm on a stretch of depleted soil outside Los Angeles. Chester is also producing the project with Sandra Keats who previously served as a co-producer and associate producer on the Beal-scored documentaries Generation Wealth and Last Call at the Oasis.

Opening in most theaters is the action thriller Mission: Impossible – Fallout directed by Christopher McQuarrie and starring Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Henry Cavill, Michelle Monaghan, Alec Baldwin, Vanessa Kirby, Sian Brooke, Angela Bassett and Sean Harris. ‘Shock and Awe’ Soundtrack Details
Varese Sarabande will release a soundtrack album for the political drama Shock and Awe. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award winner Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Rome, Monk, Appaloosa, Pollock, Ugly Betty). The soundtrack will be released on July 13, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Shock and Awe is directed by Rob Reiner and stars Woody Harrelson, James Marsden, Tommy Lee Jones, Reiner himself, Milla Jovovich, Jessica Biel, Luke Tennie and Richard Schiff. The movie tells the story about the real-life journalists who first looked into the Bush Administration’s attempts to tie Saddam Hussein to the 9/11 terror attacks despite a lack of true evidence to support the claim.
Jeff Beal to Score ABC’s ‘Grand Hotel’
Jeff Beal is set to compose the music for the upcoming ABC drama Grand Hotel. The show is created by Brian Tanen (Devious Maids) and stars Demian Bichir, Roselyn Sanchez, Denyse Tontz, Bryan Craig, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Lincoln Younes, Shalim Ortiz, Anne Winters, Chris Warren, Feliz Ramirez and Justina Adorno. The series revolves around the professional and personal lives of a group of people working at the last family-owned hotel in multicultural Miami Beach.
Kirby Dick’s ‘The Bleeding Edge’ to Feature Music by Jeff Beal
Jeff Beal has composed the music for the upcoming documentary The Bleeding Edge. The film is directed by Academy Award nominee Kirby Dick (The Hunting Ground, The Invisible War, This Film is Not Yet Rated) and follows the personal stories of those affected by medical technology gone wrong, giving voice to injured victims and uncovering frightening instances of corporate malpractice and the complex legal loopholes that have allowed them to go unpunished.
