Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British TV series The Forsytes developed by Debbie Horsfield inspired by John Galsworthy’s Forsyte Saga novels and starring Francesca Annis, Stephen Moyer, Tuppence Middleton, Danny Griffin, Eleanor Tomlinson, Jack Davenport, Tom Durant-Pritchard, Millie Gibson, Joshua Orpin, Josette Simon OBE, Owen Igiehon, Jamie Flatters and Susan Hampshire. The show’s original music is composed by Anne Dudley (The Crying Game, American History X, The Full Monty, The Hustle, Benedetta, Pushing Tin) . Dubois Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s exclusively in the UK last October. Also premiering in the U.S. tonight is a new TV adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’ The Count of Monte Cristo directed by Bille August and starring Sam Claflin, Jeremy Irons, Ana Girardot, Karla-Simone Spence, Mikkel Boe Følsgaard, Blake Ritson, Gabriella Pession, Michele Riondino, Lino Guanciale and Nicolas Maupas. Volker Bertelmann (Conclave, All Quiet on the Western Front, Lion, Patrick Melrose, Hotel Mumbai, Adrift, The Old Guard, The Crow, One Life) has composed the show’s original music. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score in early 2025 when the 8-parter premiered in several European markets.
