Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the biographical drama First Man directed by Damien Chazelle and starring Ryan Gosling, Claire Foy, Jason Clarke, Kyle Chandler, Corey Stoll, Ciarán Hinds, Christopher Abbott, Patrick Fugit and Lukas Haas. The film’s original music is composed by Justin Hurwitz (La La Land,Whiplash). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening nationwide is the mystery thriller Bad Times at the El Royale written and directed by Drew Goddard and starring Jeff Bridges, Cynthia Erivo, Dakota Johnson, Jon Hamm, Cailee Spaeny, Lewis Pullman, Nick Offerman and Chris Hemsworth. Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, Jurassic World, The Incredibles, Star Trek) has composed the film’s original score. Mario Grigorov has recently recorded his score for the upcoming indie thriller Look Away. The film is written and directed by Assaf Bernstein (The Debt) and stars India Eisley, Jason Isaacs, Mira Sorvino and Harrison Gilbertson. The movie centers on a shy and reclusive 18-year-old high school girl – alienated by her parents and known as an outcast by her peers – whose only confidant is her own reflection in the mirror. Gig Kaplan, Brad Kaplan (Submerged), and Dana Lustig (Jungle) are producing the Ace in the Hole and Primary Wave Entertainment production.
