On December 4, 2019, Emmy Award-winning composer Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Monk, Pollock, Carnivale, Rome) will be conducting his score for the documentary The Biggest Little Farm at a live-to-picture concert at The Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, CA. The composer’s music will be performed by the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra while the film is playing on the big screen. Four new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this week:
Opening in most theaters is the action adventure Pokémon Detective Pikachu directed by Rob Letterman and starring Ryan Reynolds, Justice Smith, Kathryn Newton and Ken Watanabe. The film’s original music is composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, X-Men: First Class). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score (click here for the full album details). Also available now is the original song Carry On performed by Kygo and Rita Ora (click here for more information).
Also opening wide is the comedy The Hustle directed by Chris Addison and starring Anne Hathaway, Rebel Wilson and Alex Sharp. ‘The Biggest Little Farm’ Soundtrack Details
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary The Biggest Little Farm. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award winner Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Rome, Monk, Carnivale, Ugly Betty, Appaloosa, Pollock). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 10, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A CD version will be available to order here. The Biggest Little Farm is directed by John Chester and follows two dreamers and their beloved dog when they make a choice that takes them out of their tiny L.A. apartment and into the countryside to build one of the most diverse farms of its kind in complete coexistence with nature.
Jeff Beal Scoring John Chester’s ‘The Biggest Little Farm’
Jeff Beal has recently recorded his score for the upcoming documentary The Biggest Little Farm. The film is directed by John Chester (Rock Prophecies, Euphoria) and follows the filmmaker and his wife Molly Chester, a culinary writer, who trade city life to start their own farm on a stretch of depleted soil outside Los Angeles. Chester is also producing the project with Sandra Keats who previously served as a co-producer and associate producer on the Beal-scored documentaries Generation Wealth and Last Call at the Oasis.
