Milan Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Prime Video original series Outer Range. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Wendy & Lisa (Heroes, Dangerous Minds, Nurse Jackie, Crossing Jordan, True Story, Firefly Lane). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 16 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also check out the composers’ first track (One Night in the West Pasture) below. The label has previously released an album featuring Danny Bensi’s & Saunder Jurriaans’ score from the first season back in 2022. Outer Range is created by Brian Watkins and stars Josh Brolin, Imogen Poots, Lewis Pullman, Lili Taylor,Tamara Podemski, Shaun Sipos, Tom Pelphrey, Isabel Arraiza, Noah Reid and Olive Abercrombie.

Premiering in the U.S. tomorrow is the British series After the Flood created by Mick Ford and starring Sophie Rundle, Philip Glenister, Lorraine Ashbourne, Jonas Armstrong, Nicholas Gleaves, Matt Stokoe, Anita Adam Gabay and Jacqueline Boatswain. The show’s original music is composed by Blair Mowat (Nolly, Class, Doctor Jekyll, McDonald & Dodds, The Amazing Mr. Blunden, Electric Man). Premiering in the U.S. on Tuesday, May 14, is the British series The Killing Kind written by Zara Hayes & Jonathan Stewart based on the novel of the same title by Jane Casey and starring Emma Appleton, Colin Morgan, Elliot Barnes-Worrell, Olivia D’Lima, Kerr Logan and Sara Powell. Samuel Sim (The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, The Spanish Princess, MaryLand, The Bay, Anne, The Long Call, The Halcyon, Home Fires) has composed the show’s original music. The 6-part thriller, which follows a barrister who her client against stalking charges, only for him to turn on her, premiered in the UK last year on Paramount+ and is making its domestic debut on Hulu.

The duo has composed the original music for the second season of the show created by Brian Watkins and starring Josh Brolin, Imogen Poots, Lili Taylor, Lewis Pullman, Tamara Podemski, Tom Pelphrey, Shaun Sipos, Noah Reid, Isabel Arraiza and Olive Abercrombie. The new season of the mystery drama follows Royal and his wife Cecelia as they struggle to keep their family together in the aftermath of their granddaughter’s sudden disappearance.
Wendy & Lisa Scoring Prime Video’s ‘The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy’
Wendy Melvoin & Lisa Coleman (Heroes, Dangerous Minds, Crossing Jordan, Nurse Jackie, Firefly Lane, True Story) are scoring the new Prime Video original adult animated series The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy. The show is created by Cirocco Dunlap and features the voices of Stephanie Hsu, Keke Palmer, Maya Rudolph, Natasha Lyonne, Kieran Culkin and Sam Smith. The animated comedy follows two best friends, aliens and intergalactically renowned surgeons as they tackle anxiety-eating parasites, illegal time loops, and deep-space STIs.
Netflix’s ‘Firefly Lane’ to Feature Music by Wendy & Lisa
Wendy Melvoin & Lisa Coleman (Heroes, Dangerous Minds, Nurse Jackie, Crossing Jordan, Just Wright) are scoring the new Netflix original series Firefly Lane. The show is created by Maggie Friedman based on the best-selling novel by Kristin Hannah and stars Katherine Heigl, Sarah Chalke, Ben Lawson, Beau Garrett, Ali Skovbye, Roan Curtis, Yael Yurman, Jon-Michael Ecker, Brandon Jay McLaren, Paul McGillion, Chelah Horsdal and Brendan Taylor. The drama tells the story of two inseparable best friends and their enduring, complicated bond, spanning four tumultuous decades.

Four new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this week:
Opening in most theaters is the action adventure Pokémon Detective Pikachu directed by Rob Letterman and starring Ryan Reynolds, Justice Smith, Kathryn Newton and Ken Watanabe. The film’s original music is composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, X-Men: First Class). Wendy & Lisa Scoring Amy Poehler’s ‘Wine Country’
Wendy & Lisa (aka Wendy Melvoin & Lisa Coleman) (Heroes, Nurse Jackie, Dangerous Minds) have composed the original score for the upcoming Netflix original movie Wine Country. The film marks the feature directorial debut of actress Amy Poehler who also stars in the movie alongside Maya Rudolph, Ana Gasteyer, Rachel Dratch, Paula Pell, Emily Spivey and Tina Fey.. The comedy revolves around a group of longtime girlfriends who go to Napa for the weekend to celebrate their friend’s 50th birthday, when tensions from the past boil over.

Wendy & Lisa to Return for NBC’s ‘Heroes Reborn’
Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman are returning to provide the original music for the NBC event series Heroes Reborn. The show is created by Tim Kring and stars Zachary Levi, Judith Shekoni, Masi Oka, Jack Coleman, Henry Zebrowski, Robbie Kay, Ryan Guzman, Greg Grunberg, Gatlin Green, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Rya Kihlstedt, Kiki Sukezane and Danika Yarosh. The 13-episode series continues the story from the NBC hit series Heroes, which ran from 2006 to 2010 and follows the heroes who have gone into hiding after they are blamed for a terrorist attack in Texas.
Wendy & Lisa, Steven Price, Bear McCreary & Dave Porter Honored at ASCAP Film & TV Music Awards
Last night, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) held its annual Film & Television Music Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman received the inaugural ASCAP Shirley Walker Award, which honors those whose achievements have contributed to the diversity of film and television music. The composer duo, known for their work on such features as Dangerous Minds and Just Wright and TV shows including Heroes, Nurse Jackie and Touch, were presented the award by music supervisor Liza Richardson. Hans Zimmer congratulated the Emmy Award-winning composers via a video message.
