Columbia Records and HBO have announced a soundtrack album featuring songs inspired by the HBO hit series Game of Thrones. Among the artists that have contributed new songs to the record are A$AP Rocky, Chloe X Halle, Ellie Goulding, Jacob Banks, James Arthur, Joey BadA$$, Lennon Stella, Lil Peep, Maren Morris, Matthew Bellamy, Mumford & Sons, Rosalía feat. A.CHAL, SZA, The Lumineers, The National, The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Ty Dolla $ign and X Ambassadors. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on April 26. Premiering tonight in the U.S. is the British mini-series Mrs. Wilson developed by Anna Symon, directed by Richard Laxton and starring Ruth Wilson, Iain Glenn, Keely Hawes, Anupam Kher and Fiona Shaw. The show’s original music is composed by Anne Nikitin (American Animals, Calibre, This Beautiful Fantastic, The Imposter). Premiering tomorrow, April 1, is the CBS All Access original series The Twilight Zone based on the 1959 classic TV series created by Rod Sterling, hosted and produced by Jordan Peele and staring Ike Barinholtz, John Cho, Taissa Farmiga, Ginnifer Goodwin, Greg Kinnear, Kumail Nanjiani, Adam Scott, Alison Tolman, Jacob Tremblay and Steven Yeun. Soundtrack Album for HBO’s ‘It’s a Hard Truth Ain’t It’ to Be Released
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the HBO documentary It’s a Hard Truth Ain’t It. The album features the film’s original music composed by Andrew Hollander (Waitress, Sleepwalk with Me, My Friend Dahmer, Labor Pains). The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 5 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. It’s a Hard Truth Ain’t It is directed by Madeleine Sackler and follows 13 incarcerated men as they study filmmaking as a vehicle to explore their memories and how they ended up with decades-long sentences. Several of those 13 men were also cast in Sackler’s narrative feature O.G.
‘Native Son’ Score Album Announced
Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama Native Son. The album features the film’s original music composed by Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein (Stranger Things, Valley of the Boom, Butterfly). The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 5 and will be available to download here. Native Son directed by Rashid Johnson and stars Ashton Sanders, Margaret Qualley, Bill Camp, Nick Robinson, KiKi Layne, Elizabeth Marvel, David Alan Grier and Sanaa Lathan. The movie is based on the classic novel by Richard Wright and follows a young African-American man who takes a job working for a highly influential Chicago family, a decision that will change the course of his life forever.

Premiering tomorrow, March 18, is the new ABC drama The Fix created by Elizabeth Craft, Sarah Fain & Marcia Clark and starring Robin Tunney, Adewale Akinnouye-Agbaje and Scott Cohen. The show’s original music is composed by Gregory Tripi (Ma, Manhunt: Unabomber, Dark Places, Rememory). Also premiering tomorrow is the documentary The Inventor: Out For Blood In Silicon Valley directed by Alex Gibney about the rise and fall of Theranos, the one-time multibillion-dollar healthcare company founded by Elizabeth Holmes. Will Bates (The Looming Tower, The Path, I Origins, The Magicians) has composed the film’s original music. David Schwartz Tapped as New Composer of HBO’s ‘Veep’
David Schwartz (Arrested Development, The Good Place, Northern Exposure) is the new composer of the HBO original series Veep. He is scoring the seventh and final season of the political comedy created by Armando Iannucci and starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, Matt Walsh, Reid Scott, Kevin Dunn, Gary Cole, Timothy Simons and Sam Richardson. David Mandel (Curb Your Enthusiasm, EuroTrip) serves as the showrunner of the new season and is executive producing the project with Frank Rich (Succession), Louis-Dreyfus, Lew Morton and Morgan Sackett (Parks and Recreation).

Premiering tonight is the second season of the Starz original series American Gods based on Neil Gaiman’s fantasy novel and starring Ian McShane, Ricky Whittle, Yetide Badaki, Crispin Glover, Orlando Jones, Dean Winters, Devery Jacobs, Sakina Jaffrey and Kahyun Kim. Premiering on Friday, March 8, is the Netflix original movie Juanita directed by Clark Johnson and starring Alfre Woodard, Adam Beach, Blair Underwood and LaTanya Richardson Jackson. The movie, which follows a mother of three grown children as she searches for hope and healing on an impromptu trip to Paper Moon, Montana, will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the drama O.G. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nathaniel Mechaly (Taken series, Colombiana, The Grandmaster, Taxi Brooklyn). Also included is The Pendleton Praise Team’s cover of Jimi Hendrix’s Hey Joe. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. O.G. is directed by Madeleine Sackler and stars Jeffrey Wright, Theothus Carter, Boyd Holbrook, Mare Winningham, William Fichtner and David Patrick Kelly. The drama follows a maximum-security prison inmate whose impending release is upended when he takes a new arrival under his wing.

The 4-parter is directed by Amy Berg (West of Memphis, Deliver Us from Evil) and centers on the 1999 murder of 18-year-old Baltimore County high school student Hae Min Lee, and the subsequent conviction of her ex-boyfriend, Adnan Syed, a case brought to global attention by the hugely popular Serial podcast.
