Lakeshore Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Max original series Warrior. The album features selections of the original score from the third season of the show composed by Reza Safinia (Birth of the Dragon, The Trust, Filly Brown) & H. Scott Salinas (A Private War, The Banker, Cartel Land, Full Swing). Also included is the song City On Fire by Warrior All Stars feat. CHOPS, Jason Chu, Lowhi & Niu Niu. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 14 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Milan Records has previously released a soundtrack featuring the composers’ music from Season 1 in 2019, while WaterTower Music has released an album featuring their score from Season 2 in 2021.

The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released Safinia’s & Salinas’ main titles theme as a digital single last month. Premiering tonight in the U.S. is the British mini-series Mrs. Wilson developed by Anna Symon, directed by Richard Laxton and starring Ruth Wilson, Iain Glenn, Keely Hawes, Anupam Kher and Fiona Shaw. The show’s original music is composed by Anne Nikitin (American Animals, Calibre, This Beautiful Fantastic, The Imposter). Premiering tomorrow, April 1, is the CBS All Access original series The Twilight Zone based on the 1959 classic TV series created by Rod Sterling, hosted and produced by Jordan Peele and staring Ike Barinholtz, John Cho, Taissa Farmiga, Ginnifer Goodwin, Greg Kinnear, Kumail Nanjiani, Adam Scott, Alison Tolman, Jacob Tremblay and Steven Yeun. Cinemax’s ‘Warrior’ to Feature Music by H. Scott Salinas & Reza Safinia
H. Scott Salinas and Reza Safinia have been hired to score the upcoming Cinemax original series Warrior. The show is created by Jonathan Tropper (Banshee) and stars Andrew Koji, Olivia Cheng, Jason Tobin, Kieran Bew, Dean Jagger, Joanna Vanderham, Tom Weston-Jones, Hoon Lee, Joe Taslim, Langley Kirkwood, Christian McKay and Perry Yung. The drama inspired by the writings and work of martial arts icon Bruce Lee is set against the backdrop of the Tong Wars in the late 1800s and follows a martial arts prodigy originating in China who moves to San Francisco and ends up becoming a hatchet man for the most powerful tong in Chinatown.

Four new movies are opening wide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the thriller Contagion directed by Steven Soderbergh and starring Matt Damon, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, Marion Cotillard, Jennifer Ehle, Laurence Fishburne, Brian Cranston and John Hawkes. The film’s music is composed by Cliff Martinez. A soundtrack album featuring the score by Martinez has been released by Watertower Music. Also opening wide is the drama Warrior directed by Gavin O’Connor and starring Tom Hardy, Nick Nolte, Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Morrison and Noah Emmerich. The movie’s score is written by Mark Isham. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album including Isham’s score, as well as a song by The National. The digital release is already out and a CD version will be released next Tuesday. ‘Warrior’ Soundtrack Details
Lakeshore Records has announced the details for the soundtrack release for the upcoming action drama Warrior. The album includes the film’s original score by composer Mark Isham, as well as the song About Today by The National. The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 30, 2011 and on CD on September 13. To pre-order the album, visit Amazon. Also check out the audio clips from all tracks on the soundtrack below. Warrior is directed by Gavin O’Connor (Miracle, Pride and Glory) and centers on the youngest son of an alcoholic former boxer who is trained by his father for competition in a mixed martial arts tournament. The film stars Tom Hardy, Nick Nolte, Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Morrison and Noah Emmerich.
Mark Isham Scoring ‘Once Upon a Time’
Mark Isham has been hired to score the drama pilot Once Upon a Time. The project centers on a woman with a troubled past who is drawn into a small town in Maine where the magic and mystery of Fairy Tales just may be real. The pilot’s cast includes Ginnifer Goodwin as Snow White, Robert Carlyle as Rumpelstiltskin, Lana Parrilla as the Evil Queen and Josh Dallas as Prince Charming. Jennifer Morrison, Jamie Dornan and Jared Gilmore are co-starring. Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis who are best known as writers on Lost and last year’s Tron: Legacy wrote the pilot and will be serving as executive producers on the project. Damon Lindelof (Lost) acts as a consulting producer and Mark Mylod (Ali G Indahouse, the upcoming comedy What’s Your Number?) is directing the pilot.
Mark Isham to score ‘Dolphin Tale’
Mark Isham revealed in a recent interview on Scorenotes that he just signed on to score the upcoming family drama Dolphin Tale. The movie centers on the friendship between a boy and a dolphin whose tail was lost in a crab trap. The film stars Morgan Freeman, Ashley Judd, Harry Connick, Jr., Kris Kristofferson and Nathan Gamble. Dolphin Tale was shot in 3D and is supposed to feature spectacular underwater sequences. The film is directed by actor turned director Charles Martin Smith, who previously worked with Mychael Danna on his last two theatrical features (The Snow Walker, Stone of Destiny).
