Four new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the action thriller Jack Reacher: Never Go Back directed by Edward Zwick and starring Tom Cruise, Cobie Smulders, Aldis Hodge, Danika Yarosh, Patrick Heusinger, Holt McCallany and Robert Knepper. The film’s original music is composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: Civil War, X-Men: First Class, Big Hero 6, Captain Phillips). Paramount Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Check out our previous article for the full album details. Also opening wide is the horror thriller Ouija: Origin of Evil directed by Mike Flanagan and starring Henry Thomas, Elizabeth Reaser, Doug Jones, Parker Mack, Sam Anderson, Kate Siegel, Annalise Basso and Lulu Wilson. The Newton Brothers (Oculus, Life of Crime, Hush, Detachment, The Bye Bye Man) have composed the film’s original music. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score. Jake Monaco Scoring Greg Mottola’s ‘Keeping Up with the Joneses’

Jake Monaco is currently recording his score for the upcoming action comedy Keeping Up with the Joneses. The film is directed by Greg Mottola (Superbad, Paul, Adventureland) and stars Zach Galifianakis, Jon Hamm, Isla Fisher and Gal Gadot. The movie follows an ordinary suburban couple who discover that their impossibly gorgeous and ultra-sophisticated new neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. “Jones”, are covert operatives. Michael LeSieur (You, Me and Dupree, The Maiden Heist) has written the screenplay. Laurie Macdonald & Walter F. Parkes (Men in Black, Catch Me if You Can, Flight, The Ring) are producing the project.

Adrian Belew’s Soundtrack for Pixar’s ‘Piper’ to Be Released

Walt Disney Records will release the original music for Pixar’s animated short Piper. The film’s score is composed by Adrian Belew who is best known as the guitarist and vocalist of the progressive rock band King Crimson. Jake Monaco (Let’s Be Cops, Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie) has arranged and orchestrated the music. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow and will be available to download on Amazon. Piper is directed by Alan Barillaro and follows a beach-dwelling bird who encounters a small hermit crab who teaches her the way of the waves. The short is currently playing in theaters nationwide in front of Pixar’s Finding Dory.

Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Expected to top the weekend box office is the sci-fi adventure sequel Star Trek Beyond directed by Justin Lin and starring Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, Idris Elba and Sofia Boutella. The film’s original music is composed by Michael Giacchino (Up, Jurassic World, The Incredibles, Inside Out, Lost) who previously scored J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness. Varese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Click here for the full album details. Also opening wide is the horror thriller Lights Out directed by David F. Sandberg and starring Teresa Palmer, Gabriel Bateman, Alexander DiPersia, with Billy Burke and Maria Bello. ‘Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie’ Soundtrack Announced

Rhino Records will release a soundtrack album for the British comedy Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie. The album features the songs from the film, including a new version of the Absolutely Fabulous theme song This Wheel’s On Fire performed by Kylie Minogue, as well as tracks by Jason Derulo, Paloma Faith and La Roux, Serge Gainsbourg, Nancy Sinatra and Leonard Cohen, as well as live cast recordings from the movie. Also included is a suite from the film’s original score composed by Jake Monaco (Let’s Be Cops, Playing It Cool). The soundtrack will be released digitally on July 22, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie is directed by Mandie Fletcher and stars Jennifer Saunders, Joanna Lumley, Julia Sawalha, Jane Horrocks and June Whitfield.

‘Kindergarten Cop 2’ Soundtrack Details

Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for the comedy sequel Kindergarten Cop 2. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jake Monaco (Let’s Be Cops, Playing It Cool, Struck by Lightning). Also included are the songs from the film by Sonny Cleveland, The Merced Blue Notes & The Phantom Blues Band. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 13 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Kindergarten Cop 2 is directed by Don Michael Paul and stars Dolph Lundgren, Bill Bellamy, Sarah Strange and Aleks Paunovic. Jake Monaco has recently composed the music for the upcoming comedy sequel Kindergarten Cop 2. The film is directed by Don Michael Paul (Half Past Dead) and stars Dolph Lundgren as an FBI agent who goes undercover as a kindergarten teacher to find a missing flash drive from the Federal Witness Protection Program. David H. Steinberg (American Pie 2, Slackers) has written the screenplay. Mike Elliott (The Devil’s Rejects, The Perfect Holiday) is producing the project from Universal Pictures’ 1440 Entertainment division.

Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend;

Opening in most theaters is the action comedy Hot Pursuit directed by Anne Fletcher and starring Reese Witherspoon, Sofia Vergara and Michael Mosley. The film’s original music is composed by Christophe Beck (Frozen, Ant-Man, Edge of Tomorrow, The Hangover) who previously collaborated with Fletcher on her last feature The Guilt Trip. No soundtrack album has been announced, but Sony Music has released the original song Two of a Crime by Miranda Lambert from the film. Visit Amazon to download the track. Also opening wide is the comedy The D Train written and directed by Andrew Mogel & Jarrad Paul and starring Jack Black, James Marsden, Kathryn Hahn, Kyle Bornheimer and Adria Tennor. Andrew Dost has composed the film’s original music. Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the romantic comedy Playing It Cool. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jake Monaco (Let’s Be Cops, Struck by Lightning). Also included are tracks by Andrew Feltenstein & John Nau (Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Casa De Mi Padre) and Brian Kim. The movie centers on a man disillusioned by love who meets an engaged woman and feigns a platonic relationship in order to keep seeing her as he tries to conquer her heart.

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the action comedy Let’s Be Cops. The album features the songs from the film by artists including Moby, Santigold, Diplo (feat. Angger Dimas & Travis Porter), Scorpions and Cypress Hill & Rusko. Also included is a suite from the film’s original score composed by Christophe Beck (Frozen, Edge of Tomorrow, The Hangover) and Jake Monaco. The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 9, 2014. Audio clips will be added to this article soon. Let’s Be Cops is directed by Luke Green and stars Jake Johnson, Damon Wayans Jr., Nina Dobrev, Rob Riggle, James D’Arcy and Andy Garcia. The movie follows two struggling pals who dress as police officers for a costume party and get tangled in a real life web of mobsters and dirty detectives.
