Music Box Monster will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Sam Now. The album features the film’s original score composed by Roger Neill (20th Century Women, King of the Hill, Beginners, Darby and the Dead, Mozart in the Jungle, Unpregnant). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, September 22 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Sam Now is directed by Reed Harkness and follows two film-obsessed brother who head out on a West Coast road trip to try and find their missing mother, but solving the mystery of her disappearance is only the beginning of their story.

Roger Neill Scoring Paramount+’s ‘Zoey 102’
Roger Neill (20th Century Women, Beginners, King of the Hill, Darby and the Dead, Unpregnant, Mozart in the Jungle) has recently scored the new Paramount+ original movie Zoey 102. The film directed by Nancy Hower (10 Items or Less) is based on Nickelodeon’s hit TV series Zoey 101 and stars Jamie Lynn Spears, Erin Sanders, Sean Flynn, Christopher Massey, Matthew Underwood, Abby Wilde and Jack Salvatore who reprise their roles from the TV series. They are joined by new cast members Dean Geyer, Owen Thiele, Audrey Whitby, Thomas Lennon and Zach Zagoria.

Premiering on Thursday, December 1, is the HBO Max original movie A Hollywood Christmas directed by Alex Ranarivelo and starring Jessika Van, Josh Swickard, Missi Pyle and Anissa Borrego. Jamie Christopherson (A California Christmas, Running Wild, Perfect Harmony, Bennett’s War, American Wrestler: The Wizard, The Ride) has composed the film’s original music. The romantic comedy, which follows a young filmmaker in Hollywood who has made a name for herself directing Christmas movies and her relationship with a network executive, will be available to stream exclusively on HBO Max.
‘Three Months’ Soundtrack Album Details
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Paramount+ original movie Three Months. The album features the film’s original score composed by Roger Neill (20th Century Women, King of the Hill, Beginners, Unpregnant, Mozart in the Jungle). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, February 25 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Available separately as a digital single is the original song Trouble by lead actor Troye Sivan (click here to stream/download and also listen to the track below). Another original song by Sivan from the movie is expected to be released soon. Three Months is written and directed by Jared Frieder and also stars Viveik Kalra, Brianne Tju, Ellen Burstyn, Judy Greer, Louis Gossett, Jr., Javier Munoz and Amy Landecker.

Troye Sivan has written two original songs for the new Paramount+ original movie Three Months. Roger Neill (20th Century Women, Beginners, King of the Hill, Mozart in the Jungle, Unpregnant) has composed the original score for the film written and directed by Jared Frieder and starring Sivan himself, Viveik Kalra, Brianne Tju, Ellen Burstyn, Judy Greer, Javier Munoz, Louis Gossett, Jr. and Amy Landecker. The coming-of-age comedy drama tells the story of a South Florida teen who gets exposed to HIV on the eve of his high school graduation and finds love in the most unlikely of places as he is waiting for his results.

Premiering tomorrow, September 7 is DreamWorks Animation’s new TV series Madagascar: A Little Wild executive produced by Johanna Stein & Dana Starfield and starring Tucker Chandler, Amir O’Neil, Shaylin Becton, Luke Lowe, Jasmine Gatewood and Eric Petersen. Frederik Wiedmann (The Dragon Prince, The Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Hangman) who has previously scored DreamWorks Animation TV’s All Hail King Julien is composing the show’s original music. The series, which follows young versions of Alex, Marty, Gloria & Melman from the Madagascar franchise, as they grow up in New York City, will be available to stream on Hulu and Peacock.
Roger Neill Scoring HBO Max’s ‘Unpregant’
Roger Neill (Beginners, 20th Century Women, King of the Hill, Like Father) has recently scored the new HBO Max original film Unpregnant. The movie is directed by Rachel Lee Goldenberg and stars Haley Lu Richardson, Barbie Ferreira, Ramona Young, Sugar Lyn Beard, Breckin Meyer, Betty Who, Mary McCormack and Giancarlo Esposito. The comedy drama is based on the book of the same title by Ted Caplan & Jenni Hendriks and tells the story of a seventeen-year-old girl who hits the highway with a friend to obtain a legal abortion. Goldenberg also wrote the screenplay with William Parker, Caplan & Hendricks and Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Someone Great).

Opening in select (drive-in and virtual) theaters and other pop-up venues is the documentary Spaceship Earth directed by Matt Wolf about a group of countercultural visionaries who built an enormous replica of earth’s ecosystem called Biosphere 2 in 1991. Owen Pallett (Her, The Box, Life) has composed the film’s original music. A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score is in the works.
