Madison Gate Records will release the first soundtrack album for the Hulu original series Woke. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s second season composed by Haim Mazar (The Iceman, Sneakerheads, The Taking of Deborah Logan, I Am Wrath). Also included is the Woke main title theme by Stanley Clarke (Boyz n the Hood, Passenger 57 , Undercover Brother, The Transporter). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, April 8. The show’s original music is composed by Jeff Russo (Fargo, Star Trek: Discovery & Picard, The Night Of, Legion, The Umbrella Academy) who previously scored all episodes of the original Power series. Premiering tomorrow, September 7 is DreamWorks Animation’s new TV series Madagascar: A Little Wild executive produced by Johanna Stein & Dana Starfield and starring Tucker Chandler, Amir O’Neil, Shaylin Becton, Luke Lowe, Jasmine Gatewood and Eric Petersen. Frederik Wiedmann (The Dragon Prince, The Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Hangman) who has previously scored DreamWorks Animation TV’s All Hail King Julien is composing the show’s original music. The series, which follows young versions of Alex, Marty, Gloria & Melman from the Madagascar franchise, as they grow up in New York City, will be available to stream on Hulu and Peacock.

Stanley Clarke (Boyz n the Hood, Passenger 57, The Transporter, Undercover Brother, Romeo Must Die) has been hired to score the upcoming Hulu original series Woke. The show is created by cartoonist Keith Knight & Marshall Todd (Barbershop) and stars Lamorne Morris, Blake Anderson, T. Murph and Lara Goldie. The live-action and animation hybrid is inspired by the life and art of Knight and follows an African-American cartoonist living in San Francisco, who’s finally on the cusp of mainstream success when an unexpected incident changes everything.
