Varese Sarabande has announced a deluxe soundtrack edition for this year’s sci-fi adventure Star Trek Beyond. The album features the film’s expanded score composed by Michael Giacchino (Up, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Jurassic World, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Lost). The 2-CD set is limited to 5000 copies and is now available to order on the label’s official website. The label has also released the regular soundtrack for the movie earlier this year. Star Trek Beyond is directed by Justin Lin, produced by J.J. Abrams and stars Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, Idris Elba and Sofia Boutella.

Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Also opening wide is the horror thriller Lights Out directed by David F. Sandberg and starring Teresa Palmer, Gabriel Bateman, Alexander DiPersia, with Billy Burke and Maria Bello. Benjamin Wallfisch (The Escapist, Summer in February, Desert Dancer) has composed the film’s original music. WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Rihanna’s ‘Sledgehammer’ from ‘Star Trek Beyond’ Released
Roc Nation Records has released the original song Sledgehammer from the upcoming sci-fi adventure Star Trek Beyond. The track is performed by Rihanna who previously contributed songs to DreamWorks Animation’s Home. Sledgehammer is now available to download as a single on Amazon. The film’s music is composed by Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, Inside Out, Jurassic World, The Incredibles) who previously scored J.J. Abrams’ 2009 reboot and its 2013 sequel Star Trek Into Darkness. Michael Giacchino to Return for ‘Star Trek Beyond’
Michael Giacchino confirmed on Twitter that he is set to compose the music for Star Trek Beyond. The film marks the composer’s third score in the series following his work on J.J. Abrams’ 2009 original film and 2013’s Star Trek Into Darkness. The third installment is directed by Justin Lin (Fast & Furious, Fast Five) and stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, John Cho and Anton Yelchin who reprise their roles from the previous films and are joined by Idris Elba, Bryan Cranston and Sofia Boutella.
