Roc Nation Records has released the original song Sledgehammer from the upcoming sci-fi adventure Star Trek Beyond. The track is performed by Rihanna who previously contributed songs to DreamWorks Animation’s Home. Sledgehammer is now available to download as a single on Amazon. Listen to the track, which is also featured in the film’s latest trailer, after the jump. As previously reported, Varese Sarabande will release the movie’s official soundtrack album featuring the score by Michael Giacchino. Star Trek Beyond directed by Justin Lin and starring Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, Sofia Boutella and Idris Elba will be released nationwide on July 22 by Paramount Pictures.
