Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the comedy I Feel Pretty directed by Abby Kohn & Marc Silverstein and starring Amy Schumer, Michelle Williams, Rory Scovel, Emily Ratajkowski, Aidy Bryant, Busy Phillips and Tom Hopper. The film’s original music is composed by Michael Andrews (Bridesmaids, Neighbors, Funny People). Sony Masterworks has released a soundtrack album featuring three tracks from the composer’s score, as well as songs by Maroon 5, Meghan Trainor, Santigold & others. Also opening wide is the comedy sequel Super Troopers 2 directed by Jay Chandrasekhar and starring Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, Erik Stohlhanke, Linda Carter, Rob Lowe, Fred Savage, Brian Cox, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Will Sasso, Tyler Labine and Hayes MacArthur. Eagles of Death Metal have composed the film’s original music. Universal Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the band’s score, as well as songs by Natural Child, Naked Giants, Folk Uke & others. Ian Hultquist is composing the music for the upcoming thriller Assassination Nation. The film is written and directed by Sam Robinson (Another Happy Day) and stars Bella Thorne, Maude Apatow, Bill Skarsgard, Joel McHale, Colman Domingo, Suki Waterhouse, Odessa Young, and Hari Nef. The movie follows four teenage girls in a small suburb who become the focus of unwanted, worldwide media attention when their personal information is leaked by an anonymous hacker. 
Opening in most theaters is the sci-fi action adventure War for the Planet of the Apes directed by Matt Reeves and starring Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson, Steve Zahn, Amiah Miller, Karin Konoval and Terry Notary. The film’s original music is composed by Michael Giacchino (Up, Jurassic World, Doctor Strange, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Star Trek) who previously scored Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Also opening wide is the horror thriller Wish Upon directed by John R. Leonetti and starring Joey King, Ryan Phillippe, Ki Hong Lee, Mitchell Slaggert, Shannon Purser, Sydney Park, Kevin Hanchard and Sherilyn Fenn. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie by Hey Violet, Grace Mitchell, Wayfarers & more (
Little Twig Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Bronx Gothic. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ian Hultquist (Animal, My Blind Brother, The Diabolical). The soundtrack will be released digitally on July 14, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on
