Terror Vision Records will release the first-ever score album for the 1986 fantasy adventure The Wraith written and directed by Mike Marvin and starring Charlie Sheen, Sherilyn Fenn, Nick Cassavetes and Randy Quaid. The album features the film’s original score composed by Michael Hoenig (The Blob, Strange World, The Wraith, Above Suspicion) & J. Peter Robinson (Cocktail, The Bank Job, The World’s Fastest Indian, Wes Craven’s New Nightmare, Wayne’s World, Charmed). The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 26 and is now available to stream/download on Amazon. Two first tracks (Main Title & Bike and Cude Race) are already available to stream/download now. A vinyl and cassette edition is available to order on the label’s official website.

World Premiere Release of J. Peter Robinson’s ‘Return of the Living Dead Part II’ Score Announced
Terror Vision Records has announced the world premiere score album for the 1988 horror comedy sequel Return of the Living Dead Part II written and directed by Ken Wiederhorn and starring James Karen, Thom Mathews, Marsha Dietlein, Dana Ashbrook and Phil Bruns. The album features the film’s (newly remastered) original music composed by J. Peter Robinson (Cocktail, The Bank Job, The World’s Fastest Indian, Wayne’s World, Charmed, Wes Craven’s New Nightmare). The soundtrack is now available to order on the label’s official website as a limited edition vinyl (1,000 copies) and cassette (200 copies).

Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album for the supernatural action comedy R.I.P.D. 2: Rise of the Damned. The album features the film’s original music composed by J. Peter Robinson (Cocktail, The Bank Job, Wayne’s World, The World’s Fastest Indian). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The movie follows Sheriff Roy Pulsipher as he becomes the newest officer for the Rest In Peace Department (R.I.P.D.) enforcing the afterlife’s laws who is given a mission to stop a dangerous demon from opening a portal to the underworld.

Crackle’s ‘Mad Families’ to Feature Music by J. Peter Robinson
J. Peter Robinson has composed the music for the upcoming Crackle original movie Mad Families. The film is directed by Fred Wolf (The House Bunny) and stars Charlie Sheen, Leah Remini, Finesse Mitchell, Juan Gabriel Pareja, Charlotte McKinney, Naya Rivera, Chris Mulkey, Clint Howard, Chanel Iman, Barry Shabaka Henley, Lil Rel Howery, Tiffany Haddish, Efren Ramirez and Danny Mora. The comedy centers on three families – one Hispanic, one African-American, one Caucasian – who end up sharing the same camping space over the Fourth of July weekend.

Varese Sarabande has announced a new soundtrack box set for the A Nightmare on Elm Street film series. The 8-CD set features the scores for Wes Craven’s original movie composed by Charles Bernstein, A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge written by Christopher Young, A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors composed by Angelo Badalamenti, A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master written by Craig Safan, A Nightmare On Elm Street 5: The Dream Child composed by Jay Ferguson, Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare written by Brian May, Wes Craven’s New Nightmare composed by J. Peter Robinson and Freddy Vs. Jason written by Graeme Revell, including around 3 hours of bonus tracks/previously unreleased music.

Expected to top the other films in release at the box office is the action comedy 21 Jump Street directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller and starring Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, Ice Cube, Brie Larson and Ellie Kemper. The film’s score is composed by Mark Mothersbaugh who previously collaborated with the director’s on their animated feature hit Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Opening in limited release is the Spanish-language comedy Casa de mi Padre directed by Matt Piedmont and starring Will Ferrell, Gael Garcia Bernal, Diego Luna, Genesis Rodriguez, Nick Offerman & Pedro Armendariz, Jr. Andrew Feltenstein & John Nau have written the film’s score. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring selections from the score, as well Christina Aguilera’s title song earlier this week. J. Peter Robinson Scoring ‘The Hungry Rabbit Jumps’
J. Peter Robinson is scoring the upcoming thriller The Hungry Rabbit Jumps. The film is directed by Roger Donaldson and stars Nicolas Cage, January Jones, Jennifer Carpenter and Harold Perrineau. The movie centers on a man who becomes entangled with an underground vigilante organization after his wife is the victim of a brutal crime. Donaldson and Robinson previously collaborated on Cocktail, Cadillac Man and most recently on 2005’s The World’s Fastest Indian starring Anthony Hopkins and 2008’s The Bank Job starring Jason Statham.
