Premiering on Thursday, November 17, is the Netflix original series 1899 created by Jantje Friese & Baran bo Odar and starring Emily Beecham, Aneurin Barnard, Andreas Pietschmann, José Pimentão, Miguel Bernardeau, Isabella Wei and Gabby Wong. The show’s original music is composed by Ben Frost (Dark, Raised by Wolves, Sleeping Beauty, Super Dark TimesThe Deep). The family comedy, which is a follow-up to 1983’s A Christmas Story and follows Ralphie as must deal with Christmas and all that comes with it – as a dad, will be available to stream exclusively on HBO Max.

Also premiering on Thursday is the FX limited series Fleishman Is in Trouble created by Taffy Brodesser-Akner based on her bestselling novel of the same title and starring Jesse Eisenberg, Claire Danes, Lizzy Caplan, Adam Brody, Maxim Swinton and Meara Mahoney Gross. The show’s original music is composed by Caroline Shaw (The Sky Is Everywhere, Madeline Madeline). The 8-part drama, which tells the story of a recently divorced 41-year-old man who dives into the brave new world of app-based dating with the kind of success he never had dating in his youth, will be available to stream exclusively on Hulu.

Premiering on Friday, November 18, is the Disney+ original movie Disenchanted directed by Adam Shankman and starring Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, Idina Menzel, Yvette Nicole Brown and Maya Rudolph. Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid) has composed the film’s original score and also co-wrote the original songs with Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, The Prince of Egypt).
