Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the drama Trial by Fire. The album features the film’s original music composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, Wreck-It-Ralph, X-Men: First Class, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Kong: Skull Island). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 17 and will be available to download here. Trial by Fire is directed by Edward Zwick and stars Jack O’Connell, Laura Dern and Emily Meade. The movie tells the true-life Texas story of the unlikely bond between an imprisoned death row inmate and a mother of two from Houston who, though facing staggering odds, fights mightily for his freedom.

Henry Jackman & Alex Belcher to Score Brian Kirk’s ’21 Bridges’
Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, Big Hero 6, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Wreck-It-Ralph, X-Men: First Class) & Alex Belcher have been hired to score the upcoming action thriller 21 Bridges. The film is directed by Brian Kirk and stars Chadwick Boseman, J.K. Simmons, Taylor Kitsch, Stephan James, Sienna Miller, Jamie Neumann, Keith David and Morocco Omari. The movie revolves around a disgraced NYPD detective who, after being thrust into a citywide manhunt for a cop killer, is given a shot at redemption.
Henry Jackman Scoring Matthew Michael Carnahan’s ‘Mosul’
Henry Jackman (Wreck-It-Ralph, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, X-Men: First Class, Big Hero 6, Kong: Skull Island) has recently scored the upcoming thriller Mosul. The film is marks the directorial debut of screenwriter Matthew Michael Carnahan (World War Z, Deepwater Horizon, The Kingdom) and tells of the true story of an elite police unit made up almost entirely of native sons of Mosul, Iraq’s second largest city, who fought to liberate it from 6,000 ISIS militants who overran it in 2014. Carnahan also wrote the screenplay based on articles by Luke Mogelson.

Premiering tonight is the National Geographic original series Valley of the Boom created by Matthew Carnahan and starring Bradley Whitford, Steve Zahn, Lamorne Morris, John Karna, Dakota Shapiro and Oliver Cooper. The show’s original music is composed by Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein (Stranger Things, Butterfly, Native Son). Premiering tomorrow, January 14, is the Fox drama The Passage developed by Liz Heldens based on Justin Cronin’s book series and starring Saniyya Sidney, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Caroline Chikezie, Henry Ian Cusick, Vincent Piazza and Emmanuelle Chriqui. Jeff Russo (Fargo, Legion, Star Trek: Discovery, The Night Of) and Jordan Gagne (The Rookie, Waco) are composing the show’s original music. Henry Jackman to Score Netflix’s ‘Dhaka’
Henry Jackman has confirmed in a recent interview with Film.Music.Media that he is set to score the upcoming Netflix original movie Dhaka. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Sam Hargrave and stars Chris Hemsworth, David Harbour, Golshifteh Farahani, Randeep Hooda and Rudhraksh Jaiswal. The action adventure follows a mercenary who has to liberate a kidnapped Indian boy who is being hidden in Dhaka and has to come to terms with his identity and sense of self.

‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’ Soundtrack Announced
Walt Disney Records has announced the official soundtrack album for the Wreck-It-Ralph sequel Ralph Breaks the Internet. The album features the original song A Place Called Slaughter Race written by Academy Award winner Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin) and performed in the film by Sarah Silverman & Gal Gadot, a pop version of the track performed by Julia Michaels, the original Zero written and performed by Imagine Dragons (already available as a digital single here). Also included is the film’s original score composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, Big Hero 6, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle) who previously scored the original movie.
