Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Prime Video original series Butterfly. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Curtis Green (Dug Days, Zootopia+) and Min He (Railway Heroes) and produced by Academy Award winner Michael Giacchino. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 15 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Green’s main title theme has already been released as a digital single last Friday and can also be checked out after the jump. Butterfly is created by Ken Woodruff & Steph Cha based on BOOM! Studios’ graphic novel series by Arash Amel and stars Daniel Dae Kim, Reina Hardesty, Piper Perabo, Louis Landau, Park Hae-soo, Kim Ji-hoon, Kim Tae-hee, Sean Dulake, Charles Parnell and Nayoon Kim. The spy thriller follows a former US intelligence operative living in South Korea who has his life blown to pieces when his past comes back to haunt him and he finds himself hunted by a deadly young assassin and the sinister spy organization she works for.

The sci-fi drama, which follows a hybrid prototype and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers as they make a fateful discovery when a mysterious deep space research vessel crash-lands on Earth that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat, will air every Tuesday on FX and will also be available to stream on Hulu.

Soundtrack Album for ITV’s & Hulu’s ‘Butterfly’ to Be Released
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the ITV mini-series Butterfly. The album features the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award winners Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein (Stranger Things, Valley of the Boom, Native Son). The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 22, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Butterfly is created by Tony Marchant and stars Anna Friel, Emmett J. Scanlan, Alison Steadman, Sean McGinley and Callum Booth-Ford. The 3-parter centers on the complex relationship between two separated parents and their division in opinion over how to support their youngest child.

Jeff Russo (Fargo, Legion, Star Trek: Discovery, The Night Of) and Jordan Gagne (The Rookie, Waco) are composing the show’s original music. Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein (Stranger Things) have composed the music for the new ITV mini-series Butterfly. The show is created by Tony Marchant (Holding On, The Mark of Cain) and stars Anna Friel, Emmett J. Scanlan, Alison Steadman, Sean McGinley and Callum Booth-Ford. The 3-parter focuses on the complex relationship between two separated parents and their division in opinion over how to support their youngest child. Marchant is also executive producing the project with Nicola Shindler (Happy Valley, Last Tango in Halifax), Caroline Hollick and Adam Kemp (Our Zoo).
