Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the sci-fi horror thriller Infinity Pool written and directed by Brandon Cronenberg and starring Alexander Skarsgård, Mia Goth and Cleopatra Coleman. The film’s original music is composed by Tim Hecker (The North Water, Luzifer, The Free World). Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening wide is the psychological horror thriller Fear co-written and directed by Deon Taylor and starring Joseph Sikora, Andrew Bachelor, Ruby Modine, Annie Ilonzeh, Iddo Goldberg, Terrence Jenkins, Tip “T.I.” Harris and Jessica Allain. Geoff Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Disturbia, Christopher Robin) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. Soundtrack Album for Lukas Dhont’s ‘Close’ Released

Diaphana Films & Menuet BV have released a soundtrack album for the Belgian drama Close. The album features the film’s original music composed by Valentin Hadjadj (Girl, April and the Extraordinary World , Under the Stars of Paris, A Bigger World, Rialto). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Listen to the composer’s main theme (Bliss) after the jump. Close is co-written and directed by Lukas Dhont and stars Eden Dambrine, Gustav De Waele, Émilie Dequenne and Léa Drucker. The movie revolves around two thirteen-year-old best friends whose seemingly unbreakable bond is suddenly and tragically torn apart.

Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s ‘Close’ Released

A soundtrack album has been released for the action thriller Close. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marc Canham (The Disappearance of Alice Creed, Final Girl). The soundtrack is now available to purchase on Bandcamp and will be available to download next Friday on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Also now available is the cover of Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill by Candy Says & Canham as featured in the movie (click here to download the track). Close is co-written and directed by Vicky Jewson and stars Noomi Rapace, Sophie Nélisse and Indira Varma. The movie centers on a battle-hardened bodyguard who scrambles to save her client when attackers target the heiress she’s protecting.

Weekly TV Music Roundup (January 13, 2019)

Premiering tonight is the National Geographic original series Valley of the Boom created by Matthew Carnahan and starring Bradley Whitford, Steve Zahn, Lamorne Morris, John Karna, Dakota Shapiro and Oliver Cooper. The show’s original music is composed by Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein (Stranger Things, Butterfly, Native Son). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score from the project (click here for the full album details), as well as a separate album featuring a selections of songs from the series (click here for more information).

Premiering tomorrow, January 14, is the Fox drama The Passage developed by Liz Heldens based on Justin Cronin’s book series and starring Saniyya Sidney, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Caroline Chikezie, Henry Ian Cusick, Vincent Piazza and Emmanuelle Chriqui. Jeff Russo (Fargo, Legion, Star Trek: Discovery, The Night Of) and Jordan Gagne (The Rookie, Waco) are composing the show’s original music.
