Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Prime Video original series Butterfly. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Curtis Green (Dug Days, Zootopia+) and Min He (Railway Heroes) and produced by Academy Award winner Michael Giacchino. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 15 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Green’s main title theme has already been released as a digital single last Friday and can also be checked out after the jump. Butterfly is created by Ken Woodruff & Steph Cha based on BOOM! Studios’ graphic novel series by Arash Amel and stars Daniel Dae Kim, Reina Hardesty, Piper Perabo, Louis Landau, Park Hae-soo, Kim Ji-hoon, Kim Tae-hee, Sean Dulake, Charles Parnell and Nayoon Kim. The spy thriller follows a former US intelligence operative living in South Korea who has his life blown to pieces when his past comes back to haunt him and he finds himself hunted by a deadly young assassin and the sinister spy organization she works for.

Premiering tomorrow, August 11, is the Acorn TV original series Irish Blood created by Christina Ray & Aaron Martin and starring Alicia Silverstone, Jason O’Mara, Simone Kirby, Wendy Crewson, Ruth Codd, Leonardo Taiwo and Dearbhla Molloy. The show’s original music is composed by Ames Bessada (I Used to Be Funny, Black Mirror: Joan Is Awful & Common People, Astrid and Lilly Save the World, Holly Hobbie). Premiering on Tuesday, August 12, is the FX original series Alien: Earth created by Noah Hawley and starring Sydney Chandler, Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, Babou Ceesay, Samuel Blenkin, Adrian Edmondson, Essie Davis, David Rysdahl, Lily Newmark, Adarsh Gourav, Erana James, Jonathan Ajayi, Kit Youn, Moe Bar-El, Diêm Camille and Sandra Yi Sencindiver. Jeff Russo (Fargo, Star Trek: Discovery & Picard, Legion, Ripley, The Night Of, Zero Day, Untamed, For All Mankind) has composed the show’s original music. The sci-fi drama, which follows a hybrid prototype and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers as they make a fateful discovery when a mysterious deep space research vessel crash-lands on Earth that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat, will air every Tuesday on FX and will also be available to stream on Hulu.
‘Railway Heroes’ Soundtrack to Be Released
Plaza Mayor Company will release a soundtrack album for the Chinese war drama Railway Heroes. The album features the film’s original music composed by Min He (Summer Knight) and performed by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, January 21 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Railway Heroes is written and directed by Yang Feng and stars Zhang Hanyu, Fan Wei, Zhou Ye, Wei Vision and Yu Haoming. The movie is set during the late 1930s amidst the second Sino-Japanese war and chronicles the story of a group of ordinary railroad engineers, laborers and station personnel who run an underground resistance cell against the Japanese during their occupation of east China’s Shandong Province.
