Netflix Music will release the official soundtrack album for the streamer’s original film The Electric State. The album features the movie’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Alan Silvestri (Forrest Gump, Back to the Future, Avengers: Endgame, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Predator, Cast Away, The Polar Express). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 7 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, Predator, Cast Away, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Polar Express) is attached to score Marvel Studios’ upcoming features Avengers: Doomsday & Avengers: Secret Wars. The films will be directed by Joe & Anthony Russo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War) and star Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom/Victor Von Doom. No other casting announcements have been made yet. Stephen McFeely (The Chronicles of Narnia, Pain & Gain) is writing the screenplay for both installments. The Russos’ company, AGBO, is set to produce both films alongside Marvel Studios.

Henry Jackman (Wreck-It-Ralph, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, X-Men: First Class, Big Hero 6, Kong: Skull Island) has recently scored the upcoming thriller Mosul. The film is marks the directorial debut of screenwriter Matthew Michael Carnahan (World War Z, Deepwater Horizon, The Kingdom) and tells of the true story of an elite police unit made up almost entirely of native sons of Mosul, Iraq’s second largest city, who fought to liberate it from 6,000 ISIS militants who overran it in 2014. Carnahan also wrote the screenplay based on articles by Luke Mogelson.
