Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the MGM+ original series Robin Hood. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Federico Jusid (The Secret in Their Eyes, The English, A Gentleman in Moscow, Watership Down, The Penguin Lessons, The Eternaut, The Head, Life Itself, Misconduct). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 7 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Premiering tomorrow, November 3, is the Paramount+ original series Crutch created by Owen Smith and starring Tracy Morgan, Jermaine Fowler, Adrianna Mitchell, Adrian Martinez, Kecia Lewis, Braxton Paul and Finn Maloney. Supa Lowery Bros (The Last O.G.) have composed the show’s original music. The comedy, which is set in the world of the CBS’ The Neighborhood and revolves around a brash, yet beloved Harlem shop owner whose world is turned upside down when his highbrow son and free-spirited daughter move back into the family home, will be available to stream exclusively on Paramount+.

Three new movies are opening nationwide this week and have been playing in theaters since this past Wednesday:
Opening in most theaters is the animated feature Ralph Breaks the Internet directed by Rich Moore & Phil Johnston and starring John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Taraji P. Henson, Jack McBrayer and Jane Lynch. The film’s original score is composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, Big Hero 6). Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as original songs written by Alan Menken & Imagine Dragons. Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for action adventure Robin Hood. The album features the film’s original music composed by Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, The Greatest Showman, Only the Brave, Straight Outta Compton, Earth to Echo). The soundtrack will be released on November 16, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Robin Hood is directed by Otto Bathurst and stars Taron Egerton, Jamie Foxx, Ben Mendelsohn, Eve Hewson, Tim Minchin and Jamie Dornan. The movie follows Robin of Loxley, a war-hardened crusader and his moorish commander as they mount an audacious revolt against the corrupt English crown.
Joseph Trapanese Scoring Otto Bathurst’s ‘Robin Hood’
Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, Straight Outta Compton, Insurgent) has recently recorded his score for the upcoming action adventure Robin Hood. The film is directed by Otto Barhurst (Peaky Blinders) and stars Taron Egerton in the title role, Jamie Foxx as Little John, Eve Hewson as Maid Marian, Ben Mendelsohn as the as well as the Sheriff of Nottingham, as well as Jamie Dornan, Paul Anderson and Tim Minchin. The movie tells the origin story of Robin Hood being a war-hardened crusader and joining with a Moorish commander in an audacious revolt against the corrupt English crown.
‘Robin Hood’ Legacy Collection Soundtrack Details
The full details of the Walt Disney Records Legacy Collection release for Disney Animation’s 1973 classic Robnin Hood have been revealed. The album features the film’s original songs and score composed by George Bruns (The Jungle Book, 101 Dalmations, The AristoCats) who received an Academy Award nomination for the original song Love from the movie. The 2-CD set features the original songs and score from the film on the first disc, and bonus material, including unreleased demos and bonus tracks on the second disc. The soundtrack will be released on August 4, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
Two new Varese Sarabande soundtracks
Varese Sarabande has announced two new CD releases to be released in May. The label will release Marc Streitenfeld’s score for Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood. The movie stars Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett and opens in theaters on May 14. The movie marks Streitenfeld’s fourth collaboration with director Ridley Scott after American Gangster, A Good Year and Body of Lies. The album will be released on May 11.
On the same day, Varese Sarabande will also release Edward Shearmur’s score for the drama Mother and Child. The movie stars Naomi Watts, Annette Benning, Samuel L. Jackson, Kerry Washington and Jimmy Smits and reunites Shearmur with director Rodrigo Garcia (Nine Lives, Passengers). The movie will be released by Sony Pictures Classics on May 7.
