Anne Nikitin (American Animals, Mrs. Wilson, Calibre, This Beautiful Fantastic) has been tapped to score the upcoming BBC and Amazon limited series The Pale Horse. The 2-parter is developed by Sarah Phelps (The ABC Murders, And Then There Were None) and stars Rufus Sewell, Kaya Scodelario, Bertie Carvel, Sean Pertwee, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Poppy Gilbert, Madeleine Bowyer, Ellen Robertson, Rita Tushingham, Sheila Atim and Kathy Kiera Clarke. The series is based on the novel of the same title by Agathan Christie and follows a man whose investigation into the mystery of a list of names found on a dead woman leads him to a English village, Much Deeping, the home of a trio of rumored witches.

Premiering tomorrow, September 2, is the documentary Untouchable directed by Ursula Macfarlane. The movie chronicles the recent fall of Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein and his years of alleged abuse. The film’s original music is composed by Anne Nikitin (American Animals, Mrs. Wilson, This Beautiful Fantastic, Calibre, The Imposter). The documentary premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be available to stream exclusively on Hulu.
Also premiering tomorrow is Cartoon Network’s Steven Universe: The Movie co-written and directed by Rebecca Sugar and starring Zach Callison, Estelle, Michaela Dietz and Deedee Magno Hall. Aivi Tran & Steven Velema (aka Aivi & Surasshu) have composed the film’s original score. The film is directed by Andy De Emmony (West Is West, Love Bite) and stars Matthew Goode, Russell Brand, Paula Patton, Ashley Aufderheide, Teddie Malleson-Allen, Billy Jenkins, Ellie-Mae Siame, as well as Michael Caine as the voice of It. The movie is based on Jacqueline Wilson’s children’s book of the same title and follows four kids who are horrified to learn that their beach vacation is in fact a bonding trip with their potential future step-siblings and accidentally stumble upon a magical creature who can grant them one wish a day.

Anne Nikitin (American Animals, Mrs. Wilson, The Imposter, Calibre, This Beautiful Fantastic) has signed on to score the upcoming Netflix original movie Lost Girls. The film marks the narrative feature directorial debut of Academy Award-nominated documentarian Liz Garbus (What Happened Miss Simone?) and stars Amy Ryan, Gabriel Byrne, Thomasin McKenzie, Lola Kirke, Oona Laurence, Reed Birney, Dean Winters, Miriam Shor, Kevin Corrigan and Rosal Colon. The movie is based on Robert Kolker’s book of the same name and follows Mari Gilbert as she relentlessly drives law enforcement agents to search for her missing daughter and in the process sheds light on a wave of unsolved murders of young female sex workers on the South Shore barrier islands of Long Island.

Anne Nikitin (American Animals, The Imposter, Calibre, Mrs. Wilson, This Beautiful Fantastic) has composed the music for the upcoming British drama Sulphur and White. The film is directed by Julian Jarrold (Becoming Jane, Kinky Boots, Brideshead Revisited) and stars Mark Stanley, Emily Beecham, Anna Friel and Dougray Scott. The movie is inspired by the life of city trader and mountaineer David Tait, a man whose professional success masks a series of traumatic secrets. Susie Farrell wrote the screenplay.

The Orchard will release a soundtrack album for the heist thriller American Animals. The album features the film’s original music composed by Anne Nikitin (The Imposter, This Beautiful Fantastic, Captive). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 1 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. American Animals is written and directed by Bart Layton and stars Evan Peters, Barry Keoghan, Blake Jenner, Jared Abrahamson, Ann Dowd and Udo Kier. The movie tells the true story of four young men who brazenly attempt to execute one of the most audacious art heists in US history.

Anne Nikitin has been hired to score the upcoming BBC and PBS Masterpiece mini-series Mrs. Wilson. The show is developed by Anna Symon (Indian Summers) and stars Ruth Wilson, Iain Glenn, Keely Hawes, Anupam Kher and Fiona Shaw. The 3-part drama directed by Richard Laxton is set in 1940s and 1960s London and 1930s India and follows Alison Wilson, who thinks she is happily married until her husband dies and a woman turns up on the doorstep claiming that she is the real Mrs. Wilson.
