Adrian Johnston Scoring Prime Video’s ‘A Very Royal Scandal’
Adrian Johnston (The Strangers: Prey at Night, Lassie, The Child in Time, Dancing on the Edge, The Tunnel) is the composer of the new British Prime Video limited series A Very Royal Scandal. The show is directed by Julian Jarrold (Sulphur and White, A Royal Night Out), written by Jeremy Brock (The Last King of Scotland, Mrs. Brown) and stars Michael Sheen as Prince Andrew and Ruth Wilson as Emily Maitlis, as well as Joanna Scanlan, Alex Jennings, Éanna Hardwicke and Claire Rushbrook. The 3-part drama is based on the real-life 2019 interview between Emily Maitlis and Prince Andrew over the accusations the Prince faced regarding his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein and Virginia Giuffre and follows the action of Maitlis and Prince Andrew in the lead-up to the interview.
‘Sulphur & White’ Soundtrack to Be Released
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the British drama Sulphur & White. The album features the film’s original music composed by Anne Nikitin (American Animals, The Imposter, The Pale Horse, Calibre, Mrs. Wilson, Lost Girls, This Beautiful Fantastic). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, July 24 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Sulphur & White is directed by Julian Jarrold and stars Mark Stanley, Emily Beecham, Anna Friel, Dougray Scott and Aftab Shivdasani. The movie is inspired by the life of city trader and mountaineer David Tait, a man whose professional success masks a series of traumatic secrets.

The film is directed by Julian Jarrold (Becoming Jane, Kinky Boots, Brideshead Revisited) and stars Mark Stanley, Emily Beecham, Anna Friel and Dougray Scott. The movie is inspired by the life of city trader and mountaineer David Tait, a man whose professional success masks a series of traumatic secrets. Susie Farrell wrote the screenplay.
Philip Miller Scoring ‘The Girl’
Philip Miller is scoring the upcoming drama The Girl. The film is directed by Julian Jarrold and stars Toby Jones as Alfred Hitchcock and Sienna Miller as Tippi Hedren who starred in the filmmaker’s The Birds and Marnie. The movie chronicles the obsessive relationship the director had with the actress. Also starring are Imelda Staunton as Alma Hitchcock and Penelope Wilton as Peggy Robertson, Hitchcock’s loyal assistant. Gwyneth Hughes (Miss Austen Regrets) has written the screenplay for the BBC Two production and Amanda Jenks (An Englishman in New York) is producing the project. HBO Films is co-producing the TV drama. Jarrold has previously collaborated with composer Adrian Johnston on his previous four features, including Becoming Jane, Brideshead Revisited and Kinky Boots. Miller’s best known previous credit is Phillip Noyce’s 2006 drama Catch a Fire starring Tim Robbins and Derek Luke. The Girl is expected to air later this year on BBC Two.
