Two new movies are opening wide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the sci-fi action thriller Edge of Tomorrow
directed by Doug Liman and starring Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt, Bill Paxton, Charlotte Riley, Jonas Armstrong and Franz Drameh. The film’s original music is composed by Christophe Beck (Frozen, The Muppets, Buffy the Vampire Slayer). Also opening wide is the romantic drama The Fault in Our Stars directed by Josh Boone and starring Shailene Woodley, Ansel Elgort, Laura Dern, Sam Trammell, Nat Wolff and Willem Dafoe. Atlantic Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the film by artists including Ed Sheeran, Birdy, Grouplove, M83, Kodaline, Jake Bugg and more. The film’s original music is composed by Mark Mancina (Tarzan, Speed Twister). Sony Classical will release the soundtrack album for the upcoming fantasy adventure sequel Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters. The album features the film’s original score composed by Andrew Lockington (Journey to the Center of the Earth, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island). Also included is the song I Feel Alive by IAMEVE. Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters is directed by Thor Freudenthal and stars Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario, Brandon T. Jackson, Jake Abel, Leven Rambin, Stanley Tucci, Sean Bean, Nathan Fillion, Anthony Head, Missi Pyle, Yvette Nicole Brown and Mary Birdsong. The movie follows Percy Jackson and his friends as they head into the Sea of Monsters to find the mythical Golden Fleece. The film is set to be released on August 7, 2013 by 20th Century Fox. 
Premiering tomorrow, June 3, on ABC is the new drama Mistresses starring Alyssa Milano, Yunjin Kim, Rochelle Aytes, Jes Macallan, Brett Tucker, Jason George and Erik Stocklin. The series about the scandalous lives of a sexy and sassy group of four girlfriends is based on the UK series of the same title and is executive produced by Rina Mimoun (Privileged), K.J. Steinberg (Gossip Girl), Robert Sertner (Revenge) and Douglas Rae (Wuthering Heights). The show’s original score is composed by Danny Lux (Grey’s Anatomy, Ally McBeal, Boston Legal).
