Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the sci-fi drama The Space Between Us. The album features the film’s original music composed by Andrew Lockington (San Andreas, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, City of Ember). Also included are the songs featured in the movie by Ingrid Michaelson, Crystal Fighters, BØRNS, BANNERS and James Bay. The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 27, 2017 (click here to pre-order physically on February 3 (visit Amazon to order). The Space Between Us is directed by Peter Chelsom and stars Gary Oldman, Asa Butterfield, Britt Robertson, Carla Gugino, BD Wong, Janet Montgomery and Scott Takeda. The movie tells the intergalactic love story about the first human born on Mars who begins an online romance with a girl living in Colorado and hatches a plan to travel across the universe to meet her.

Premiering on Tuesday, September 27, is the new Syfy original series Aftermath created by William Laurin & Glenn Davis and starring Anne Heche, Julia Sarah Stone, Taylor Hickson, Levi Meaden and James Tupper. The show’s original music is composed by Andrew Lockington (San Andreas, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, City of Ember). Premiering on Friday, September 30, is the Netflix original series Luke Cage developed by Cheo Hodari Coker based on the Marvel Comics character and starring Mike Colter, Mahershala Ali, Alfre Woodard, Simone Missick, Theo Rossi, Frank Whaley and Sônia Braga. Andrew Lockington Scoring Syfy’s ‘Aftermath’
Andrew Lockington has been tapped to score the upcoming Syfy original series Aftermath. The show is created by William Laurin & Glenn Davis (1-800 Missing, The Listener) and stars Anne Heche, Julia Sarah Stone, Taylor Hickson, Levi Meaden and James Tupper. The drama revolves around a family who must battle for survival after civilization comes to an apocalyptic end, triggered by massive storms, meteor strikes, earthquakes and plague – and the rise of supernatural creatures. Laurin and Davis are also executive producing the Halfire Entertainment production with Julie Hope.
Andrew Lockington to Score Netflix’s ‘Frontier’
Andrew Lockington is composing the music for the upcoming Canadian action adventure series Frontier. The show is created by Rob Blackie and Peter Blackie and stars Jason Momoa, Alun Armstrong, Landon Liboiron, Zoe Boyle, Allan Hawco and Jessica Matten. The 6-parter follows the chaotic and violent struggle to control wealth and power in the North American fur trade of the late 18th century. Edwina Follows is executive producing the Discovery, Take The Shot Productions and Factory Backwards production with Alex Patrick, John Vatcher, Rob Blackie, Peter Blackie, Allan Hawco, Perry Chafe, Michael Levine, Jeff Fierson, as well as Brad Peyton who also directed the first two episodes.

The film is directed by Peter Chelsom (Serendipity, The Mighty, Shall We Dance) and stars Gary Oldman, Asa Butterfield, Britt Robertson, Carla Gugino, BD Wong, Janet Montgomery and Scott Takeda. The movie tells the intergalactic love story about the first human born on Mars who begins an online romance with a girl living in Colorado and hatches a plan to travel across the universe to meet her. Richard Lewis (Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, August Rush) is producing the project.

The film’s original music is composed by Andrew Lockington (Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters) who previously scored Peyton’s Journey to the Center of the Earth and Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music, as well as a cover version of California Dreamin’ performed by Sia. ‘Pirate’s Passage’ Soundtrack Released
MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the animated movie Pirate’s Passage. The album features the film’s original music composed by Andrew Lockington (Journey to the Center of the Earth, Journey 2: Mysterious Island, San Andreas). Pirate’s Passage is produced and co-written by Brad Peyton and Donald Sutherland who is also among the film’s voice cast alongside Gage Munroe, Carrie-Anne Moss, Megan Follows, Kim Coates, Colm Feore, Gordon Pinsent, Paul Gross, Rossif Sutherland and Terry Haig.
Andrew Lockington to Score ‘San Andreas’
Andrew Lockington is set to reunite with director Brad Peyton on the upcoming action adventure distaster movie San Andreas. The film stars Dwayne Johnson, Alexandra Daddario, Carla Gugino, Colton Haynes, Art Parkinson, Archie Panjabi, Todd Williams, Ioan Gruffudd, Will Yun Lee and Kylie Minogue. The movie follows a rescue-helicopter pilot and his ex-wife who attempt to leave Los Angeles and head to San Francisco to find and rescue their estranged daughter after an earthquake hits California. Allan Loeb (21, Just Go With It), Carlton Cuse (Lost, Bates Motel), Carey Hayes & Chad Hayes (The Conjuring) have written the screenplay based on the original script by Jeremy Passmore & Andre Fabrizio.

Guaranteed to top the weekend box office is the sci-fi action adventure Transformers: Age of Extinction directed by Michael Bay and starring Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Sophia Myles, Bingbing Li, Titus Welliver and TJ Miller. The film’s original music is composed by Steve Jablonsky (Ender’s Game, Battleship) who previously scored Bay’s last five features, including the previous three Transformers movies. A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score is expected to be announced soon. Imagine Dragons have written the original song Battle Cry for the film, which is now available to download as a single here. Opening in Los Angeles and New York before expanding nationwide is the musical comedy drama Begin Again written and directed by John Carney and starring Keira Knightley, Mark Ruffalo, Adam Levine, Hailee Steinfeld, James Corden, Ceelo Green and Catherine Keener. 222 Records in partnership with Interscope Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the film written by Gregg Alexander, who also provided the film’s original score, as well as Danielle Brisebois, Nick Lashley, Nick Southwood, Rick Nowels, John Carney and Glen Hansard and performed by the film’s cast.
