Relativity Music Group will release a soundtrack album for the biographical drama Lovelace. The album includes the songs featured in the film by artists including Gladys Knight & The Pips, Brenton Wood, KC & The Sunshine Band, Elvin Bishop, John Ellison & The Souls Brothers Six and Eddie Kenricks. Also featured is a track from the film’s original score composed by Stephen Trask (In Good Company, Hedwig and the Angry Inch). The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 27, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The album will also be released physically overseas by Sony Music (click here to pre-order the CD). Lovelace is directed by Rob Epstein & Jeffrey Friedman and stars Amanda Seyfried, Peter Sarsgaard, Sharon Stone, Adam Brody, Chris Noth, Hank Azaria, Bobby Cannavale, Juno Temple, James Franco and Debi Mazar. The drama follows adult film star Linda Lovelace through the production of Deep Throat, her abusive relationship with Chuck Traynor and eventual spearheading of the feminist anti-pornography movement.

Four new movies are opening in wide release this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the animated feature Planes directed by Klay Hall and featuring a voice cast including Dane Cook, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Cedric the Entertainer, Val Kilmer, John Cleese, Stacy Keach, Brad Garrett and Teri Hatcher. The film’s original music is composed by Mark Mancina (Tarzan, Speed Twister). Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as original songs by Mark Holman, Chris Classic & Alana D and Jon Stevens of The Dead Daisies. Also opening in wide release is the sci-fi action film Elysium written and directed by Neil Blomkamp and starring Matt Damon, Jodie Foster, Sharlto Copley, Wagner Moura, Alice Braga, William Fichtner, Diego Luna and Carly Pope. The film’s original score is composed by Ryan Amon. Varese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music. Stephen Trask to Score ‘Lovelace’
Stephen Trask has been hired to score the upcoming biopic Lovelace. The movie starring Amanda Seyfried as adult film star Linda Lovelace is told through the production of Deep Throat, her abusive relationship with Chuck Traynor and eventual spearheading of the feminist anti-pornography movement. Peter Sarsgaard, Hank Azaria, Wes Bentley, Adam Brody, Bobby Cannavale, James Franco, Chris Noth, Robert Patrick, Eric Roberts, Chloë Sevigny, Sharon Stone and Juno Temple are co-starring in the film directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman.
