The details of the soundtrack album for Disney’s animated sequel Planes: Fire & Rescue have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Mark Mancina (Tarzan, Twister, Bad Boys, Brother Bear) who previously scored last year’s original film. Also included is the original song Still I Fly by Spencer Lee, as well as three songs by Brad Paisley. The soundtrack will be released on July 15, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Planes: Fire & Rescue is directed by Bobs Gannaway and features the voices of Dane Cook, Julie Bowen, Stacy Keach, Brad Garrett, Danny Mann, Teri Hatcher and Ed Harris. The movie follows Dusty as he is launched into the world of aerial firefighting. The animated feature will be released nationwide on July 18 by Walt Disney Pictures.

Mark Mancina to Return for ‘Planes: Fire & Rescue’
Mark Mancina is set to return to compose the score for Disney’s Planes: Fire & Rescue. The sequel to this summer’s animated feature Planes is directed by Bobs Gannaway (Secret of the Wings, Stitch! The Movie) and features a crew of elite firefighting aircraft devoted to protecting historic Piston Peak National Park from a raging wildfire. Dane Cook will once again be voicing the film’s main character of Dusty. He is joined by Julie Bowen who will appear as the voice of the new character Lil’ Dipper. The full voice cast has yet to be announced. Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter is executive producing the DisneyToon Studios production. Mark Mancina is currently scoring Disney’s upcoming animated feature Planes. The film is directed by Klay Hall and follows a plane with dreams of competing as a high-flying air racer and who must overcome a fear of heights. The movie’s voice cast includes Dane Cook, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Cedric the Entertainer, Val Kilmer, John Cleese, Stacy Keach, Brad Garrett, Teri Hatcher, Carlos Alazraqui, Priyanka Chopra, Roger Craig Smith, Gabriel Iglesias, Oliver Kalkofe and Sinbad. Traci Balthazor-Flynn is producing the project and John Lasseter (Toy Story, Cars) is executive producing. James Seymour Brett to Score Disney’s ‘Planes’
James Seymour Brett has been hired to score DisneyToon Studios’ upcoming feature Planes. The animated movie directed by Klay Hall draws inspiration from Disney/Pixar’s Cars and centers on a small-town crop-duster (voiced by Jon Cryer) with a fear of heights who longs to enter an epic around-the-world air race. Stacy Keach and Brad Garrett are also lending their voices for the project. Pixar’s/Walt Disney Animation Studios’ chief creative officer and Academy Award-winner John Lasseter (Toy Story, A Bug’s Life) is producing the film. Brett’s music is expected to be recorded this summer. Planes is set for a release in spring 2013.
