Jeff Beal has composed the score for the upcoming Showtime docu-series The Putin Interviews. The 4-parter is directed by Oliver Stone who, alongside his longtime documentary producer Fernando Sulichin, interviewed the Russian president Vladimir Putin more than a dozen times over the course of two years, most recently in February following the U.S. presidential elections. The series provides intimate insight into Putin’s personal and professional lives, from his childhood under communism, to his rise to power, his relations with four U.S. presidents, and his surprising takes on U.S.-Russian relations today. Varese Sarabande has announced a soundtrack album for the comedy The House. The album features the songs from the movie, including previously unreleased material from LL Cool J and Charli2NA of Jurassic 5. Also included is Snoop Dogg’s Gz And Hustlas and Alabama 3’s The Sopranos theme song Woke Up This Morning, as well as selections from the film’s original original score composed by Andrew Feltenstein & John Nau (Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Casa de mi Padre). The soundtrack will be released on June 30, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Johnny Jewel has composed the original music for the upcoming indie drama Don’t Come Back from the Moon. The film marks the feature directorial debut of cinematographer Bruce Thierry Cheung (The Adderall Diaries, In Dubious Battle) and stars Jeffrey Wahlberg, Zackary Arthur, Alyssa Elle Steinacker, Cheyenne Haynes, James Franco and Rashida Jones. The movie revolves around a group of fathers in a small California desert town who abandon their children one by one leaving behind a wake of anger and crime as their sons and daughters come of age. The full details of the soundtrack album for the comedy The Big Sick have been revealed. The composer duo of tomandandy has taken over scoring duties on the upcoming horror thriller Wish Upon. The film is directed by John Leonetti (Annabelle) and stars Joey King, Ryan Phillippe, Ki Hong Lee, Mitchell Slaggert, Shannon Purser, Sydney Park, Kevin Hanchard and Sherilyn Fenn. The movie follows a 16-year-old misfit who finds a magic box that promises a chance at the life she’s always wanted only to discover that each wish would demand a deadly payment. Danny Elfman has composed a musical theme for Universal Pictures’ Dark Universe logo. The theme will make its first appearance in from of the inaugural film in the new classic monster series, Alex Kurtzman’s The Mummy starring Tom Cruise Sofia Boutella, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance & Russell Crowe, which will be released in theaters nationwide on June 9. Rhino Records to Release Soundtracks for Showtime’s ‘Twin Peaks’ Event Series

Rhino Records will release two soundtrack albums for Showtime’s Twin Peaks limited event series. The albums will feature the show’s original score composed by Angelo Badalamenti (Blue Velvet, The Straight Story, Mulholland Drive) who previously scored the original series, as well as the movie version. Also included is music by Chromatics. Both soundtracks will be released on September 8, 2017. The digital, CD and vinyl version of Twin Peaks (Music from the Limited Event Series) is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
