Adrian Johnston is scoring the upcoming BBC drama The Child in Time. The movie is directed by Julian Farino (The Oranges) and stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Kelly Macdonald, Stephen Campbell Moore and Saskia Reeves. The movie is based on the novel of the same title by Ian McEwan (Atonement) and centers around children’s author Stephen Lewis who struggles to find purpose in life following the disappearance of his daughter two years earlier. Stephen Butchard (The Last Kingdom) wrote the script is also executive producing the Pinewood Television and SunnyMarch TV production with Cumberbatch, Helen Gregory, Lucy Richer, Rebecca Eaton, David Boulter and Adam Ackland. The Child in Time is expected to premiere later this year on BBC in the UK and will air in the U.S. on PBS as part of the channel’s Masterpiece series.
