604 Records has released a soundtrack album for the Canadian thriller Sweetness. The album features the film’s original music composed by Blitz//Berlin (Silent Night, Deadly Night, Day of the Dead, Queens of the Dead, Still/Born, PG: Psycho Goreman, Deathstalker, Frankie Freako). The soundtrack is now available to stream on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also listen to the composers’ Payton’s Theme after the jump. Sweetness is written and directed by Emma Higgins and stars Kate Hallett, Herman Tømmeraas, Aya Furukawa, Justin Chatwin, Steven Ogg, Amanda Brugel and Julius Cho. The movie follows a 16-year girl who discovers that her rockstar crush is a dysfunctional drug addict and takes it upon herself to help him, ultimately forcing her teenage fantasies into reality. The thriller, which premiered at last year’s SXSW Film Festival, was released in the U.S. this past February on VOD by Saban Films and is now also available on Blu-ray and DVD.
