604 Records has released a soundtrack album for the Canadian thriller Sweetness. The album features the film’s original music composed by Blitz//Berlin (Silent Night, Deadly Night, Day of the Dead, Queens of the Dead, Still/Born, PG: Psycho Goreman, Deathstalker, Frankie Freako). The soundtrack is now available to stream on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also listen to the composers’ Payton’s Theme after the jump. Sweetness is written and directed by Emma Higgins and stars Kate Hallett, Herman Tømmeraas, Aya Furukawa, Justin Chatwin, Steven Ogg, Amanda Brugel and Julius Cho. The movie follows a 16-year girl who discovers that her rockstar crush is a dysfunctional drug addict and takes it upon herself to help him, ultimately forcing her teenage fantasies into reality.

Blitz//Berlin to Score Syfy’s ‘Day of the Dead’ TV Series
The composer trio of Blitz//Berlin (Still/Born, Extraterrestrial, It Stains the Sands Red) have been hired to score the upcoming Syfy original series Day of the Dead. The show is developed by Jed Elinoff & Scott Thomas (Malibu Rescue, Raven’s Home) based on George A. Romero’s classic feature and stars Keenan Tracey, Daniel Doheny, Natalie Malaika, Morgan Holmstrom and Kristy Dinsmore. The 10-parter tells the story of six strangers struggling to survive the first 24 hours of a zombie invasion.

‘PG: Psycho Goreman’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Waxwork Records has announced a soundtrack album for the horror comedy PG: Psycho Goreman. The album features the film’s original music composed by Blitz//Berlin (The Void, Extraterrestrial, Still Born, It Stains the Sands Red). The soundtrack is now available to order as a vinyl deluxe edition on the label’s official website. A digital release (to be released on February 5) is also in the works and will be available to stream/download on Amazon. PG: Psycho Goreman is written and directed by Steven Kostanski and stars Nita-Josee Hanna, Owen Myre, Adam Brooks, Alexis Hancey and Matthew Ninaber. The movie follows two siblings who resurrect an ancient alien overlord and use a magical amulet to force the monster to obey their childish whims.
‘The Void’ Soundtrack Announced
Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the horror movie The Void. The album features the film’s original music composed by Blitz//Berlin, director Jeremy Gillespie, Brian Wiacek and Menalon. The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 30, 2017. The download link will be added to this article within the next few weeks. The Void is directed by Jeremy Gillespie & Steven Kostanski and stars Aaron Poole, Kathleen Munroe, Ellen Wong, Kenneth Walsh, Evan Stern, Daniel Fathers and Grace Munro. The movie follows a police officer who – after delivering a patient to an understaffed hospital – begins to experience strange and violent occurrences seemingly linked to a group of mysterious hooded figures.

The film’s original score is composed by James Newton Howard who previously scored the first two installments in the series. Republic Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from and inspired by the film, including the original song Yellow Flicker Beat by Lorde who curated the album.
