Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the supernatural horror feature Lee Cronin’s The Mummy written and directed by Cronin and starring Jack Reynor, Laia Costa, May Calamawy, Natalie Grace and Veronica Falcón. The film’s original music is composed by Stephen McKeon (Evil Dead Rise, The Hole in the Ground, Queen & Country, Sharp Corner, Pilgrimage, Rose Plays Julie, The Damned, Norm of the North, My Name Is Emily). Also opening wide is the action thriller Normal directed by Ben Wheatley and starring Bob Odenkirk, Lena Headey, Henry Winkler, Brendan Fletcher, Billy MacLellan, Ryan Allen, Jess McLeod, Reena Jolly, Peter Shinkoda, Derek Barnes and David Lawrence Brown. Harry Gregson-Williams Shrek, The Martian, The Chronicles of Narnia, Mulan, Man on Fire, Chicken Run, Gladiator II, Kingdom of Heaven) and Ryder McNair (Andy Kaufman Is Me, Yosemite) have composed the film’s original music. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score today.
