Premiering tonight is the new CW drama Batwoman developed by Caroline Dries & Greg Berlanti based on the DC Comics characters and starring Ruby Rose, Meagan Tandy, Camrus Johnson, Nicole Kang, Rachel Skarsten, Dougray Scott and Elizabeth Anweis. The show’s original music is composed by Blake Neely (The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl) & Sherri Chung (Riverdale, Blindspot). Also premiering tonight is the British mini-series Press created by Mike Bartlett and starring Charlotte Riley, Ben Chaplin, Priyanga Burford and David Suchet. Natalie Holt (Journey’s End, Knightfall, Beecham House, Three Girls) has composed the show’s original music. The series aired last year in the UK on BBC and is making its U.S. debut tonight on PBS as part of its Masterpiece series. Legacy Recordings has released a soundtrack album in two different versions featuring a selection of the songs from the movie by artists such as the Carter Family, Jimmie Rodgers, Randy Travis & others. Premiering on Thursday, September 19, is the comedy First Wives Club developed by Tracy Oliver based on the 1996 movie of the same title and starring Ryan Michelle Bathe, Jill Scott and Michelle Buteau. Chris Alan Lee (Younger, No Good Nick) is composing the show’s original score. Premiering tonight is the National Geographic documentary Apollo: Missions to the Moon directed by Tom Jennings about the United States’ remarkable journey to land on the Moon before 1970. The film’s original music is composed James Everingham for Bleeding Fingers Music and produced by Hans Zimmer & Russell Emanuel. Also premiering tonight is the CNN docu-series The Movies executive produced by Tom Hanks, Gary Goetzman & Mark Herzog and featuring interviews with Steven Spielberg, Julia Roberts, Ron Howard, Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro, among others. Blake Neely (Arrow, The Flash, Riverdale, Into the West, Life As We Know It) & Nathaniel Blume (The Seventies, The Eighties, Deception) have composed the show’s original music. ‘Poldark’ – The Ultimate Collection Soundtrack to Be Released

Sony Classical will release a new soundtrack album for the BBC drama Poldark. The 3-CD set features selections of the original music from all five seasons of the series composed by Academy Award winner Anne Dudley (The Full Monty, The Crying Game, American History X, Elle, The Hustle). The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on July 12, 2019. Check back on this page or the pre-order link. The label has previously released two soundtrack albums featuring the composer’s score from the first season of the drama. Poldark is created by Debbie Horsefield and stars Aidan Turner, Tomlinson, Ruby Bentall, Beatie Edney, Jack Farthing and Heida Reed.

Soundtrack Album for Ken Burns’ PBS Documentary ‘Country Music’ Announced

Legacy Recordings has announced a soundtrack album for the PBS documentary Country Music. The soundtrack represents artists featured in each of the series’ episodes, including the Carter Family, Jimmie Rodgers, Randy Travis, the Judds & more. The soundtrack will be released in a deluxe 5-CD set on August 30, 2019 and as a 2-CD/vinyl and digital version on September 13. The show is developed by Andrew Davies (War & Peace, Les Miserables) based on Jane Austen’s novel of the same title and stars Rose Williams, Theo James, Anne Reid, Kris Marshall, Kate Ashfield, Jack Fox, Charlotte Spencer, Lily Sacofsky and Adrian Scarborough. The 8-part period drama tells the story of the joyously impulsive, spirited and unconventional Charlotte Heywood and her spiky relationship with the humorous, charming Sidney Parker.

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the BBC/PBS limited series Les Miserables. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by John Murphy (Sunshine, 28 Days Later.., Snatch, Millions, Kick-Ass). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 3, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Les Miserables is developed by Andrew Davies based on Victor Hugo’s novel and stars Dominic West, David Oyelowo, Lily Collins, Adeel Akhtar, Olivia Colman, Ellie Bamber, Josh O’Connor and Erin Kellyman. The 6-parter follows Valjean and policeman Javert’s cat-and-mouse relationship, against the backdrop of France at a time of civil unrest.

‘Victoria’ Season 2 & 3 Soundtrack Released

Dubois Records has released a new soundtrack album for the ITV/PBS original series Victoria. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second and third season composed by Ruth Barrett (Bodyguard, Harry Brown, Collateral, City of Tiny Lights). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring Barrett’s & Martin Phipps’ score from the drama’s first season. Victoria is created by Daisy Goodwin and stars Jenna Coleman, Tom Hughes, Rufus Sewell, Alex Jennings and Peter Bowles.
