Premiering tonight is the National Geographic documentary Apollo: Missions to the Moon directed by Tom Jennings about the United States’ remarkable journey to land on the Moon before 1970. The film’s original music is composed James Everingham for Bleeding Fingers Music and produced by Hans Zimmer & Russell Emanuel. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring Everingham’s score. Check out our previous news article for the full album details.

Also premiering tonight is the CNN docu-series The Movies executive produced by Tom Hanks, Gary Goetzman & Mark Herzog and featuring interviews with Steven Spielberg, Julia Roberts, Ron Howard, Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro, among others. Blake Neely (Arrow, The Flash, Riverdale, Into the West, Life As We Know It) & Nathaniel Blume (The Seventies, The Eighties, Deception) have composed the show’s original music. Three new movies are opening wide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the sci-fi western Cowboys & Aliens directed by Jon Favreau, produced by Steven Spielberg and starring Daniel Craig, Olivia Wilde, Harrison Ford, Paul Dano and Sam Rockwell. The film’s music is composed by Harry Gregson-Williams. A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score is now available to download on iTunes and will be released on CD on August 16. Also opening wide is the romantic comedy Crazy, Stupid, Love. directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, written by Dan Fogelman and starring Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Julianne Moore, Emma Stone, Kevin Bacon and Marisa Tomei. Christophe Beck and Nick Urata composed the movie’s score. A soundtrack album featuring twelve songs from the film has been released on Watertower Music. Klaus Badelt’s upcoming projects

Klaus Badelt has a number of movies coming out in 2011. Already recorded is the score for the horror comedy Dylan Dog: Dead of Night. The film based on the comic book series Dylan Dog centers around supernatural private eye, Dylan Dog, who seeks out the monsters of the Louisiana bayou in his signature red shirt, black jacket, and blue jeans. The film is directed by Kevin Munroe, who previously worked with Badelt on the 2007 animated film TMNT (Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtles). The movie stars Brandon Routh, Sam Huntington, Peter Stormare and Taye Diggs. No domestic release date has been announced, but the movie is scheduled to open in March in Italy (click here to watch the Italian movie trailer). Klaus Badelt’s ‘Point Blank’ (A Bout Portant) score online

Klaus Badelt’s score for the French thiller Point Blank (A Bout Portant) has been made available online at Badelt’s online store webpage. The soundtrack album includes 22 tracks from Badelt’s score, all of which can be previewed and downloaded for free on the page. Apart from downloading the score in 320k mp3 or FLAC format, you can also order a physical CD on the webpage. Point Blank is directed by Fred Cavaye, who previously worked with Badelt on the 2008 thriller Anything for You (Pour elle), which recently has been remade in Hollywood as The Next Three Days starring Russell Crowe and scored by Danny Elfman.
