Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the French period drama Les Misérables. The album features the film’s original music composed by Christophe Julien (Jean Valjean, Farewell, Mr. Hoffman , Bye Bye Morons, Nothing to Hide, Delicious, Saint-Ex, This Is the Goat!, Second Round, See You Up There). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to the composer’s title track after the jump. A CD an vinyl edition will also be released in France and will be available to order as an import on Amazon within the next few weeks. Les Misérables is directed by Fred Cavayé and stars Vincent Lindon, Tahar Rahim, Camille Cottin, Benjamin Lavernhe, Noémie Merlant, Vassili Schneider, Megan Northam, Marie Colomb and Louis Peres. The movie based on Victor Hugo’s classic novel of the same title follows Jean Valjean who – after enduring 19 years in prison for stealing a loaf of bread – emerges a hardened man and seeks redemption by reinventing himself as a respected dignitary under a new identity.

Christophe Julien (Jean Valjean, Bye Bye Morons, Delicious, Saint-Ex, Second Round, See You Up There) has been tapped to score the upcoming French period drama Les Misérables. The film is directed by Fred Cavayé (Mea Culpa, Anything for Her) and stars Vincent Lindon, Tahar Rahim, Camille Cottin, Benjamin Lavernhe, Noémie Merlant, Megan Northam, Vassili Schneider, Marie Colomb and Louis Peres. Pink Noise’s Score from Ladj Ly’s ‘Les Misérables’ Released
Viral has released the first-ever soundtrack album for the French 2019 drama Les Misérables co-written and directed by Ladj Ly and starring Damien Bonnard, Alexis Manenti, Djebril Zonga, Steve Tientcheu and Jeanne Balibar. The album features the original score from the Academy Award-nominated film composed by the French electronic music project Pink Noise. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Spotify (and several other major digital music services), where you can also check out the track list. Les Misérables is inspired by 2005 Parisian riots and follows a recent transplant to the impoverished suburb of Montfermeil, where joins the local anti-crime squad.

Two new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the comedy Like a Boss directed by Miguel Arteta and starring Tiffany Haddish, Rose Byrne, Salma Hayek, Billy Porter, Jennifer Coolidge, Ari Graynor, Natasha Rothwell, Jessica St. Clair and Karan Soni. The film’s original score is composed by Christophe Beck (Frozen, Ant-Man, Edge of Tomorrow) & Jake Monaco (Let’s Be Cops, Dumplin’). Also opening wide is the sci-fi horror movie Underwater directed by William Eubank and starring Kristen Stewart, T.J. Miller, Vincent Cassel, John Gallagher Jr., Jessica Henwick, Mamoudou Athie and Gunner Wright. Marco Beltrami (Logan, 3:10 to Yuma, A Quiet Place, Scream) and Brandon Roberts (Free Solo, The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death) have composed the film’s original music. Soundtrack Album for BBC’s ‘Les Miserables’ TV Series to Be Released
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the BBC/PBS limited series Les Miserables. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by John Murphy (Sunshine, 28 Days Later.., Snatch, Millions, Kick-Ass). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 3, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Les Miserables is developed by Andrew Davies based on Victor Hugo’s novel and stars Dominic West, David Oyelowo, Lily Collins, Adeel Akhtar, Olivia Colman, Ellie Bamber, Josh O’Connor and Erin Kellyman. The 6-parter follows Valjean and policeman Javert’s cat-and-mouse relationship, against the backdrop of France at a time of civil unrest.

Premiering tonight in the U.S. is the mini-series Les Miserables developed by Andrew Davies based on Victor Hugo’s novel and starring Dominic West, David Oyelowo, Lily Collins, Adeel Akhtar, Olivia Colman, Ellie Bamber, Josh O’Connor and Erin Kellyman. The show’s original music is composed by John Murphy (28 Days Later, Sunshine, Miami Vice, Snatch). Premiering tomorrow, April 15 is the Netflix original series No Good Nick created by David H. Chris Alan Lee (Younger, Heathers, Uncle Buck) has composed the original music for the show’s first season. John Murphy to Score BBC’s ‘Les Miserables’ Mini-Series
John Murphy (28 Days Later…, Sunshine, Snatch, Miami Vice, Kick-Ass) has signed on to score the upcoming BBC/PBS Masterpiece mini-series Les Miserables. The show is developed by Andrew Davies (Bridget Jones’s Diary, House of Cards, War & Peace) based on Victor Hugo’s classic novel and stars Dominic West as Jean Valjean, David Oyelowo as Javert, Lily Collins and Fantine, Adeel Akhtar and Olivia Colman as Monsieur and Madame Thénardier, as well as Ellie Bamber, Josh O’Connor and Erin Kellyman. The 6-part drama delves deep into the layers of Hugo’s story, exploring Valjean and policeman Javert’s cat-and-mouse relationship, against the backdrop of France at a time of civil unrest.
‘Les Miserables’ Soundtrack Deluxe Edition Details
The track list for the deluxe edition of the soundtrack for Tom Hooper’s hit movie musical Les Miserables has been revealed. The album features all songs from the film composed by Claude-Michel Schonberg and with lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer and Alain Boublil performed by the movie’s cast including Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Samantha Barks, Eddie Redmayne, Colm Wilkinson, Sacha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter. The soundtrack will be released on March 19, 2013 by Republic Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring highlights from the music from the film. Les Miserables received three Academy Awards this past Sunday for Hathaway’s supporting performance, Best Makeup and Sound Mixing. The movie is now playing in theaters worldwide and will be released on Blu-ray and DVD in the US on March 22.
‘Les Miserables’ Wins Cinema Audio Society Award
The team behind the sound mixing of Tom Hooper’s Les Miserables has won the award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing for 2012 Motion Pictures – Live Action at tonight’s 49th annual Cinema Audio Society Awards ceremony at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles. Scoring mixer Jonathan Allen, along with production mixer Simon Hayes, re-recording mixers Andy Nelson & Mark Paterson, ADR mixer Robert Edwards and foley mixer Pete Smith have received the award for the movie musical starring Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe and Amanda Seyfried. The other contenders in the category were Lincoln (including scoring mixer Shawn Murphy) and Skyfall (including scoring mixer Simon Rhodes), The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (including scoring mixer Peter Cobbin) and Zero Dark Thirty (including scoring mixer Sam Okell).

Topping the box office on Christmas Day was the movie musical Les Miserables directed by Tom Hooper and starring Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Samantha Barks, Eddie Redmayne, Colm Wilkinson, Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen. Universal Republic has released a soundtrack album featuring the film’s songs composed by Claude-Michel Schonberg, with lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer and produced and arranged by Anne Dudley. Also performing well in wide release is the western Django Unchained written and directed by Quentin Tarantino and starring Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz. Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington and Samuel L. Jackson. Loma Vista Recording has released a soundtrack album featuring a couple of new original tracks, including 100 Black Coffins by Rick Ross and produced by and featuring Jamie Foxx, Who Did That To You? by John Legend, Ancora Qui by Ennio Morricone and Elisa, and the duet Freedom performed by Anthony Hamilton and Elayna Boynton.
