Two new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the comedy Like a Boss directed by Miguel Arteta and starring Tiffany Haddish, Rose Byrne, Salma Hayek, Billy Porter, Jennifer Coolidge, Ari Graynor, Natasha Rothwell, Jessica St. Clair and Karan Soni. The film’s original score is composed by Christophe Beck (FrozenAnt-ManEdge of Tomorrow) & Jake Monaco (Let’s Be CopsDumplin’). Also opening wide is the sci-fi horror movie Underwater directed by William Eubank and starring Kristen Stewart, T.J. Miller, Vincent Cassel, John Gallagher Jr., Jessica Henwick, Mamoudou Athie and Gunner Wright. Marco Beltrami (Logan3:10 to YumaA Quiet PlaceScream) and Brandon Roberts (Free SoloThe Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death) have composed the film’s original music. Opening in limited release is the French drama Les Misérables co-written and directed by Ladj Ly and starring Damien Bonnard, Alexis Manenti, Djebril Zonga, Steve Tientcheu and Jeanne Balibar. The film’s original music is composed by Pink Noise. The drama is France’s candidate for this year’s Academy Awards and has recently been shortlisted in the International Feature category. The movie premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and is being distributed in the U.S. by Amazon Studios.

Also opening in limited release is the drama Three Christs co-written and directed by Jon Avnet and starring Richard Gere, Peter Dinklage, Walton Goggins, Bradley Whitford, Charlotte Hope and Julianna Margulies. Jeff Russo (Fargo, Star Trek: Discovery, The Night Of, Legion, Mile 22) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. Also opening in select theaters is the British crime thriller The Corrupted directed by Ron Scalpello and starring Sam Claflin, Timothy Spall, Noel Clarke, Hugh Bonneville, David Hayman, Naomi Ackie, Charlie Murphy, Joe Claflin, Sam Otto and Akbar Kurtha. The film’s original music is composed by Andrew Kawczynski (The Amazing Spider-Man 2Sky HunterThe Eight Hundred). Filmtrax has released a soundtrack album last year when the movie opened overseas. Also opening in select cities is the thriller Inherit the Viper directed by Anthony Jerjen and starring Josh Hartnett, Margarita Levieva, Owen Teague, Valorie Curry, Chandler Riggs, Brad William Henke, Tara Buck, Dash Mihok and Bruce Dern. Patrick Kirst (The Kissing BoothRigged) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been released.
