Premiering tonight is the BBC America original series The Watch developed by Simon Allen based on Sir Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels and starring Richard Dormer, Adam Hugill, Jo Eaton-Kent, Marama Corlett, Lara Rossi and Sam Adewunmi. The show’s original songs and score are composed by Russ Davies (The War of the Worlds). Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British television movie Elizabeth Is Missing directed by Aisling Walsh, written by Andrea Gibb based on Emma Healey’s novel and starring Glenda Jackson, Helen Behan, Sophie Rundle, Liv Hill, Nell Williams, Mark Stanley, Maggie Steed and Sam Hazeldine. Dominik Scherrer (The Missing, Requiem, Marple, Ripper Street, Primeval) has composed the film’s original music. The drama, which revolves aroun a woman affected by dementia who struggles to solve the disappearance of her friend, premiered in the UK in late 2019 on BBC One and is making its domestic debut on PBS as part of the Masterpiece series.

‘Roadkill’ Soundtrack Album Details

Silva Screen Records has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the BBC series Roadkill. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Harry Escott (Shame, Hard Candy, Welcome to the Punch, A Mighty Heart, The Wedding Guest, The English Game). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Monday, November 23 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. Roadkill is created by David Hare and stars Hugh Laurie, Helen McCrory, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Saskia Reeves, Sarah Greene, Ophelia Lovibond, Patricia Hodge, Iain De Caestecker, Olivia Vinall, Pippa Bennett-Warner, Katie Leung, Shalom Brune-Franklin and Pip Torrens. The 4-parter revolves around s a self-made, forceful and charismatic politician whose public and private life is being picked apart by his enemies.

Soundtrack Album for ITV’s ‘Agatha Christie’s Marple’ Released

MovieScore Media has released the first-ever soundtrack album for the ITV series Agatha Christie’s Marple based on books and short stories by Agatha Christie and starring Geraldine McEwan (seasons 1-3) and Julia McKenzie (seasons 4-6) in the title role. The album features selections of the show’s score composed by Emmy Award nominee Dominik Scherrer (The Missing, Ripper Street, Requiem, The Widow, The City and the City, Primeval), as well as the composer’s Agatha Christie’s Marple theme. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Agatha Christie’s Marple premiered in the UK between 2004 and 2013 on ITV and aired in the U.S. (as Miss Marple) on PBS.

Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British political thriller Roadkill created by David Hare and starring Hugh Laurie, Helen McCrory, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Saskia Reeves, Patricia Hodge, Sarah Greene, Ophelia Lovibond, Katie Leung, Iain De Caestecker, Olivia Vinall, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Pippa Bennett-Warner and Pip Torrens.. The show’s original music is composed by Harry Escott (Shame, Hard Candy, Welcome to the Punch, A Mighty Heart). A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score (to be released by Silva Screen Records) will be announced soon. Premiering on Thursday, November 5, is the Netflix original film Operation Christmas Drop directed by Martin Wood and starring Kat Graham, Alexander Ludwig, Virginia Madsen, Janet Kidder, Jeff Joseph, Bethany Brown, Trezzo Mahoro, Rohan Campbell, Aliza Vellani, Aaron Douglas, Xavier de Guzman and Bruce Best. Hamish Thomson (Chesapeake Shore , Love Locks) has composed the movie’s original score. The romantic comedy, which follows a by-the-book political aide who falls for a big-hearted Air Force pilot while looking to shut down his tropical base and its airborne Christmas tradition, will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix.

The album features selections of the original music from the reboot of the classic BBC drama composed by Alexandra Harwood (The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, The Escape, Growing Up Wild). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music services. All Creatures Great and Small is written by Ben Vanstone, directed by Brian Percival and stars Nicholas Ralph, Samuel West, Anna Madeley, Callum Woodhouse as Tristan Farnon and Rachel Shenton. Wave Theory Records has released a soundtrack album for the BBC mini-series Man in an Orange Shirt. The album features the show’s original music composed by Dan Jones (On Chesil Beach, Shadow of the Empire, Lady Macbeth, Any Human Heart, World on Fire) and performed by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music services. Man in an Orange Shirt is written by Patrick Gale, directed by Michael Samuels and stars Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Julian Morris, James McArdle, Joanna Vanderham, David Gyasi and Vanessa Redgrave. The 2-parter tells the story of two challenging love stories from very different generations of a family, in the 1940s and in 2017.

Alexandra Harwood (The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, The Escape, Growing Up Wild) is scoring the upcoming Channel 5 and PBS Masterpiece series All Creatures Great and Small. The show is based on James Herriot’s iconic collection of stories about a group of country veterinarians in 1930s rural England that was previously turned into a British TV series that ran between 1978 and 1990 on BBC. The reboot’s cast includes Nicholas Ralph, Samuel West, Anna Madeley, Callum Woodhouse as Tristan Farnon and Rachel Shenton. Ben Vanstone (The English Game) serves as the lead writer and Brian Percival (Downton Abbey, The Book Thief) is lead director.
