Silva Screen Records has released a soundtrack album for the BBC America original series The Watch. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Russ Davies (The War of the Worlds). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The Watch is developed by Simon Allen based on Sir Terry Pratchett’s bestselling Discworld novels and stars Sam Adewunmi, Richard Dormer, Adam Hugill, Jo Eaton-Kent, Marama Corlett, Marama Corlett and Lara Rossi. The fantasy comedy thriller centers on a group of misfit cops as they rise up from decades of helplessness to save their corrupt city from catastrophe.

Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British television movie Elizabeth Is Missing directed by Aisling Walsh, written by Andrea Gibb based on Emma Healey’s novel and starring Glenda Jackson, Helen Behan, Sophie Rundle, Liv Hill, Nell Williams, Mark Stanley, Maggie Steed and Sam Hazeldine. Dominik Scherrer (The Missing, Requiem, Marple, Ripper Street, Primeval) has composed the film’s original music. The drama, which revolves aroun a woman affected by dementia who struggles to solve the disappearance of her friend, premiered in the UK in late 2019 on BBC One and is making its domestic debut on PBS as part of the Masterpiece series.

Two new movies are opening wide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the sci-fi comedy The Watch directed by Akiva Schaffer and starring Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Jonah Hill, Rosemarie Dewitt and Richard Ayoade. Also opening wide is the dance movie Step Up Revolution directed by Scott Speer and starring Kathryn McCormick, Ryan Guzman and Stephen Boss. Aaron Zigman has composed the film’s score. Interscope Records has released a soundtrack including the songs featured in the movie by artists including Travis Parker, Timbaland, Fergie, Jennifer Lopez, M.I.A., Far East Movement, Sohanny and Vein, Diplo and My Name is Kay. Christophe Beck Scoring ‘The Guilt Trip’
Christophe Beck is scoring the upcoming comedy The Guilt Trip. The film directed by Anne Fletcher (The Proposal, 28 Dresses) stars Seth Rogen as an inventor who invites his overbearing mother, played by Barbra Streisand, on a cross-country trip as he tries to sell his new product while also reuniting her with a lost love. Yvonne Strahovski, Colin Hanks and Adam Scott are co-starring. Dan Fogelman (Crazy.Stupid.Love, Cars) has written the screenplay and Evan Goldberg (Superbad, The Green Hornet), Lorne Michaels (30 Rock, Mean Girls) & John Goldwyn (Dexter,Baby Mama) are producing the Paramount Pictures production.
