‘The Murder Pact’ Soundtrack Details

MovieScore Media will release a soundtrack album for the thriller The Murder Pact. The album features the film’s original music composed by Matthew Llewellyn (Wishin’ and Hopin’, Deep in the Darkness). The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 11, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Murder Pact is directed by Colin Theys and stars Alexa Pena Vega, Beau Mirchoff, Renee Olstead, Michael J. Willett and Sean Patrick Thomas. The movie follows four friends at a prestigious university whose promising futures are jeopardized when they become connected to the accidental death of a classmate.

Martin Phipps Scoring ‘War and Peace’ Mini-Series

Martin Phipps is composing the music for the upcoming mini-series War and Peace. The epic drama is directed by Tom Harper (Peaky Blinders, The Woman in Black: Angel of Death) and stars Paul Dano, Lily James, James Norton, Jim Broadbent, Gillian Anderson, Brian Cox, Ken Stott, Stephen Rea, Greta Scacchi, Jack Lowden, Tom Burke and Aisling Loftus. Andrew Davies (House of Cards, Bridget Jones’s Diaries) has written the scripts for the 6-parter based on Leo Tolstoy’s classic novel. Davies is also executive producing the project with Faith Penhale & Bethan Jones (Sherlock) for BBC Cymru Wales, Harvey Weinstein & Robert Walak for the Weinstein Company and Simon Vaughan (Ripper Street, Parade’s End) for Lookout Point.

UnReal is based on Shapiro’s short Sequin Raze and follows a young staff member on a hit competition dating show who does everything she can to help please the show’s executive producer. Premiering tomorrow, May 25, is the History mini-series Texas Rising directed by Roland Joffe and starring Bill Paxton, Brendan Fraser, Ray Liotta, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Olivier Martinez, Thomas Jane, Crispin Glover and Jeremy Davies. The show’s original music is composed by John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Elf, Iron Man 2) and Bruce Broughton (Silverado, Tombstone). Universal Music Group Nashville has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score, as well as the original song Take Me To Texas written by Shane McAnally and Brandy Clark, as well as a cover version of Tom Petty’s I Won’t Back Down performed by Kris Kristofferson and the original piece Igual Que Yo performed by guitarist José Feliciano earlier this week. Also making its U.S. premiere on Memorial Day is the drama Grace of Monaco directed by Olivier Dahan and starring Nicole Kidman, Tim Roth, Frank Langella, Paz Vega, Parker Posey, Derek Jacobi and Milo Ventimiglia. Christopher Gunning (La Vie En Rose) has composed the film’s original score and Guillaume Roussel (3 Days to Kill) has contributed additional music. Hamburger Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ music, as well as classical pieces by Erik Satie, Jean Sibelius and more last year. David Carbonara has composed the original music for the Lifetime mini-series The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe. The two-parter is directed by Laurie Collyer (Sherrybaby) and stars Kelli Garner, Susan Sarandon, Emily Watson, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Eva Amurri Martino. The four-hour TV event is based on J. Randy Taraborrelli’s New York Times bestseller of the same title and explores Monroe’s complicated relationships with her mother, foster mother and legal guardian, her struggles with mental illness and her ties with the Kennedys.
