Premiering tonight is the Lifetime original movie Seeds of Yesterday directed by Shawn Ku (Beautiful Boy) and starring Rachael Carpani, James Maslow, Jason Lewis, Sammi Hanratty, Anthony Konechny, Leah Gibson and Nikohl Boosheri. The film’s original movie is composed by Douglas Pipes (Monster House, Trick ‘r’ Treat). Seeds of Yesterday is the final installment in the Dollananger series based on V.C. Andrews’ best- selling book series following Flowers in the Attic and Petals of the Wind, which were both scored by Mario Grigorov, and If There Be Thorns, which was scored by Pipes and premiered on Lifetime last Sunday. Premiering tomorrow, April 13, is the second season of AMC’s Turn: Washington’s Spies created by Craig Silverstein and starring Jamie Bell, Seth Numrich, Daniel Henshall, Heather Lind, Meegan Warner, Kevin R. McNally, Burn Gorman, Angus Macfadyen, JJ Feild, Samuel Roukin and Ian Kahn. Marco Beltrami (Scream, World War Z, The Wolverine, The Hurt Locker) who previously scored last year’s first season returns and is now sharing co-composer credit with Brandon Roberts who wrote additional music for the first season. Premiering tonight is the NBC event series A.D. executive produced by Mark Burnett & Roma Downey and starring Juan Pablo di Pace, Vincent Regan, Greta Scacchi, Aniss Elkohen, Richard Coyle, Babou Ceesay, Chipo Chung, Cesare Taurasi and Adam Levy. Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Gladiator, The Lion King) and Lorne Balfe (Home, Penguins of Madagascar) have composed the music for the 12-parter. Tree Adams Scoring Lifetime’s ‘The Lizzie Borden Chronicles’
Tree Adams has been hired to score the upcoming Lifetime original series Lizzie Borden Chronicles. The show stars Christina Ricci, Clea DuVall, Jonathan Banks, John Heard, Cole Hauser and Jessy Schram. Ricci has previously starred in the title role of the Lifetime original movie Lizzie Borden Took an Ax, which was also scored by Adams. The 8-part series centers on the actual events and people surrounding Lizzie’s life after her controversial acquittal of the double murder of her father and stepmother in 1892. Ricci is also executive producing the Sony Pictures Television production with Judith Verno.

Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, The Lion King, Inception, Gladiator) has composed the series’ title theme. Sons of Liberty follows John Adams, Sam Adams, Paul Revere, John Hancock and Joseph Warren as they band together in secrecy to change the course of history and make America a nation. Premiering tonight is the new HBO original series Togetherness created and executive produced by Mark & Jay Duplass and starring Amanda Peet, Melanie Lynskey, Mark Duplass and Steve Zissis. The show’s original music is composed by Michael Andrews (Neighbors, Bridesmaids, Donnie Darko) who previously scored the Duplass Brothers’ features Cyrus and Jeff Who Lives at Home. The series about two couples who are living under the same Los Angeles roof and who are struggling in their relationships while dealing with their individual problems will every Sunday night on HBO. Premiering tomorrow, January 12, is the new MTV original drama Eye Candy based on the book by R.L. Stine, executive produced by Jason Blum and starring Victoria Justice, Casey Deidrick, Harvey Guillen, Kiersey Clemons and John Garet Stoker. Dino Meneghin (Teen Wolf) is composing the show’s original score. Eye Candy follows a tech genius who is persuaded by her roommate to begin online dating and begins to suspect that one of her mysterious suitors might be a deadly cyber stalker. Fil Eisler to Score Lifetime’s ‘UnReal’
Fil Eisler has been tapped to score the upcoming Lifetime original series UnReal. The show is created by Marti Noxon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce) & Sarah Gertrude Shapiro and stars Shiri Appleby, Constance Zimmer, Craig Bierko, Freddie Stroma, Josh Kelly and Nathalie Kelley. The show is based on Shapiro’s short Sequin Raze and follows a young staff member on a hit competition dating show who does everything she can to help please the show’s executive producer. Noxon & Shapiro are also executive producing the project with Robert M. Sertner (Mistresses, No Ordinary People), Bill Davenport and Sally DeSipio.
Lifetime’s ‘Whitney’ Biopic to Feature Music by RedOne
Music producer/songwriter RedOne is making his scoring debut on the Lifetime original movie Whitney. The film is directed by actress Angela Bassett and stars Yaya DaCosta as Whitney Houston and Arlen Escarpeta as Bobby Brown. Houston’s vocal performances in the film are performed by Grammy nominee Deborah Cox. The movie chronicles the relationship between the iconic singer, actress, producer and model Whitney Houston and singer and songwriter Bobby Brown from the time they first met at the very height of their celebrity to their courtship and tumultuous marriage. Shem Bitterman has written the script and Larry Sanitsky (Betty & Coretta) is executive producing the project.

Premiering tonight is the Lifetime original mini-series The Red Tent directed by Roger Young, executive produced by Paula Weinstein and starring Minnie Driver, Morena Baccarin, Rebecca Ferguson, Iain Glen, Will Tudor and Debra Winger. The series’ original music is composed by Laurent Eyquem (Copperhead, Winnie Mandela, Rage). The two-parter based on the best-selling novel by Anita Diamant tells the story of Dinah, the daughter of Leah and Jacob and will air tonight and tomorrow on Lifetime. Premiering tonight is the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie One Christmas Eve directed by Jay Russell and starring Anne Heche. The film’s original music is composed by William Ross (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, The Tale of Desperaux) who previously scored Russell’s Ladder 49, My Dog Skip and Tuck Everlasting and Jerome Leroy. Momentum RLP Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score earlier this week. Premiering on Tuesday, December 2, is the Disney/Pixar holiday special Toy Story That Time Forgot directed by Steve Purcell and featuring the voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Kristen Schaal, Kevin McKidd, Wallace Shawn, Timothy Dalton, Don Rickles and Joan Cusack. Michael Giacchino (Star Trek, Lost, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) who previously scored last year’s Toy Story of Terror, as well as Pixar’s The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Up and Cars 2 has composed the special’s original music.
