Hollywood Records will release a new soundtrack EP for the Fox animated comedy Family Guy created by Seth MacFarlane and starring MacFarlane himself, Alex Borstein, Seth Green, Mila Kunis, Arif Zahir, Mike Henry and Patrick Warburton. The EP features eight songs from the show written by series composers Walter Murphy (Ted, American Dad!) and Ron Jones (Duck Tales, Star Trek: The Next Generation). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 15 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. 20th Century Fox TV Records has previously released several songs from the show as a digital singles, while La-La Land Records has released a full soundtrack album featuring selections of Murpy’s & Jones’ original score in 2016.

Premiering today is the Fox animated comedy Grimsburg created by Catlan McClelland & Matthew Schlissel and starring Jon Hamm, Erinn Hayes, Alan Tudyk, Rachel Dratch, Greg Chun and Kevin Michael Richardson. The show’s original music is composed by Jesse Novak (BoJack Horseman, Tuca & Bertie, The Mindy Project, The Baby-Sitters Club, Champions, Blockbuster). Also premiering in the U.S. today is the British comedy Funny Woman developed by Morwenna Banks based on Nick Hornby’s novel Funny Girl and starring Gemma Arterton, Rupert Everett, Tom Bateman, Clare-Hope Ashitey, David Threlfall, Alexa Davies, Arsher Ali and Emily Bevans. Nainita Desai (The Deepest Breath, For Sama, The Reason I Jump, Crossfire, The Tower, American Murder: The Family Next Door) has composed the show’s original score. Walter Murphy Scoring Peacock’s ‘Ted’ TV Series
Walter Murphy (Family Guy, Wiseguy, American Dad, The Late Bloomer, Raw Force) is returning to score the new Peacock original comedy event series Ted. The show is created by Seth MacFarlane (The Orville, A Million Ways to Die in the West) and stars MacFarlane himself (as the voice of Ted), Max Burkholder, Scott Grimes, Alanna Ubach and Giorgia Whigham. The prequel to the Murphy-scored 2012 & 2015 Ted features is set in 1993 and depicts of the early life of the titular character who is now living back home in Framingham, Massachusetts with his best friend, John Bennett and his family.

Opening in theaters nationwide today (while also premiering on HBO Max) is the film adaptation of the stage musical In the Heights directed by Jon M. Chu and starring Anthony Ramos, Leslie Grace, Marc Anthony Corey Hawkins, Melissa Barrera, Olga Merediz, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Stephanie Beatriz, Gregory Diaz IV, Dascha Polanco and Jimmy Smits. Atlantic Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie written by Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton), including a new original song composed for the film. Also opening wide is the family comedy Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway co-written and directed by Will Gluck and starring Rose Byrne, Domhnall Gleeson, David Oyelowo, Elizabeth Debicki, Margot Robbie and James Corden. The film’s original score is composed by Dominic Lewis (The Man in the High Castle, DuckTales, Money Monster, Free Birds, My Spy, The King’s Man). Walter Murphy Scoring Michael Lembeck’s ‘Queen Bees’
Walter Murphy (Ted, Family Guy, Wiseguy, The Late Bloomer, Raw Force) has composed the original music for the upcoming comedy Queen Bees. The film is directed by Michael Lembeck (The Santa Clause 2 & 3, Tooth Fairy) and stars Ellen Burstyn, James Caan, Ann-Margret, Jane Curtin, Loretta Devine, Christopher Lloyd, Elizabeth Mitchell and French Stewart. The movie follows a fiercely independent senior who moves into a retirement community where she encounters lusty widows, cutthroat bridge tournaments and a hotbed of bullying “mean girls” the likes of which she hasn’t encountered since high school. Donald Martin (Milton’s Secret) wrote the screenplay based on a story by Harrison Powell.

Songs from Fox’s ‘Family Guy’ to Be Released
Beginning today, 20th Century Fox TV Records is releasing a batch of digital song singles from the Fox hit television series Family Guy. Starting with the Family Guy Main Title, composed by Walter Murphy, Seth MacFarlane and David Zuckerman, songs will be released every other week during the course of the season. Songs coming out this fall include a few of the most requested ones, including A Bag of Weed, The FCC Song, and the Emmy-nominated songs You’ve Got a Lot to See and Down’s Syndrome Girl. The first track is now available to download on iTunes and will also be available from other digital retailers soon.
Walter Murphy Scoring Kevin Pollak’s ‘The Late Bloomer’
Walter Murphy has composed the music for the upcoming comedy The Late Bloomer. The film is directed by Kevin Pollak and stars Johnny Simmons, J.K. Simmons, Maria Bello, Brittany Snow, Jane Lynch, Kumail Nanjiani, Paul Wesley, Ken Marino, Beck Bennett, Illeana Douglas Blake Cooper, Charlotte McKinney, Vanessa Ragland and Lenora Crichlow. The movie is loosely based on Ken Baker’s 2001 memoir Man Made: A Memoir of My Body and follows a 30-year old man who – after the successful removal of a benign tumor resting against his pituitary gland – experiences all the changes and effects of puberty over a three-week period.
‘Family Guy’ Score Album Announced
La-La Land Records will release the world premiere score soundtrack album for the Fox animated hit series Family Guy. The album features selections from the original music from the show’s first four seasons composed by Walter Murphy (Ted, Ted 2, American Dad!) and Ron Jones (American Dad!, Duck Tales, Star Trek: The Next Generation). Family Guy: Movement I is limited to 5000 copies and will be available to order on June 21 on the label’s official website. The CD is also available to order on Amazon. Family Guy is created by Seth MacFarlane and features the voices of MacFarlane himself, as well as Alex Borstein, Seth Green, Lacey Chabert, Mila Kunis, Mike Henry and Patrick Warburton.

The film’s original music is composed by Walter Murphy (American Dad, Family Guy) who also scored 2012’s original movie. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the original song Mean Ol’ Moon performed by Amanda Seyfriend and Norah Jones in two different version and tracks by Ray Charles, Bone Symphony and John Wilson, Maida Vale Singers & Curtis Stigers.
