Netflix Music has released the main theme/opening titles track from the streamer’s original adult animated series Long Story Short. The track is written by the show’s composer Jesse Novak (BoJack Horseman, The Mindy Project, Tuca & Bertie, The Baby-Sitters Club, Blockbuster) and is now available as a digital single (which also features a lo-fi version of the theme) to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to both versions after the jump. The comedy is set at the last remaining Blockbuster and follows a hardworking manager as he fights to keep his video store open and staff happy amid competition and complicated feelings.

Jesse Novak (BoJack Horseman, The Mindy Project, Tuca & Bertie) is scoring the upcoming Netflix original series The Baby-Sitters Club. The show is based on the best-selling book series by Ann M. Martin and stars Sophie Grace, Malia Baker, Momona Tamada, Shay Rudolph, Xochitl Gomez, as well as Alicia Silverstone and Mark Feuerstein. The family dramedy follows a group of girlfriends and their homegrown babysitting business in Stoneybrook, Connecticut. Rachel Shukert serves as the showrunner is executive producing the poject with Martin, Michael De Luca (The Social Network, Captain Phillips), Walden Media’s Lucy Kitada & Naia Cucukov, Lucia Aniello (Broad City, Rough Night) who is also directing the series.

Netflix’s ‘Tuca & Bertie’ to Feature Music by Jesse Novak
Jesse Novak is the composer of the new Netflix original series Tuca & Bertie. The animated comedy is created by Lisa Hanawalt and features the voices of Tiffany Haddish and Ali Wong. The show is centers on the friendship between two 30-year-old bird women who live in the same apartment building:a cocky, care-free toucan, and an anxious, daydreaming songbird. Hanawalt, Haddish & Wong are also executive producing the project with Raphael Bob-Waksberg, Noel Bright and Steven A. Cohen.
