Blake Neely & Sherri Chung are scoring the upcoming CBS limited series The Red Line. The show is created by Caitlin Parrish & Erica Weiss and stars Noah Wyle, Emayatzy Corinealdi, Noel Fisher, Howard Charles, Aliyah Royale, Michael Patrick Thornton, Vinny Chhibber and Elizabeth Laidlaw. The 8-part drama follows three very different Chicago families as they journey toward hope and healing after a tragedy causes them all to consider how race and racial biases affect their lives. Ava DuVernay (Selma, A Wrinkle in Time) is executive producing the Warner Bros. Television & CBS Television Studios production with Greg Berlanti & Sarah Schechter, Parrish, Sunil Nayar (Revenge) and Kevin Hooks (Prison Break). Neely & Chung are also co-scoring The CW’s Riverdale & Supergirl, as well as NBC’s Blindspot produced by Berlanti & Schechter. The Red Line will premiere on April 28, 2019 on CBS. Neely also continues to score The CW’s The Flash, Arrow, D.C.’s Legends of Tomorrow and All-American, as well as You, which will return for its second season on Netflix later this year. He also recently scored the documentary Ask Dr. Ruth, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be released in select theaters on May 3 by Magnolia Pictures before premiering on Hulu. Chung has recently composed the music for the feature Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase, which will be opening in theaters this coming weekend.
