A soundtrack will be released for the indie drama Blue Jay. The album features the film’s original music composed by Julian Wass (Hit and Run, The Overnight, Animals, Other People). The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 10, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Blue Jay is directed by Alex Lehmann and stars Mark Duplass (who also co-wrote the screenplay and produced the project) and Sarah Paulson. The movie revolves around two former high-school sweethearts who reflect on their shared past through the lens of their differently dissatisfied presents when they return to their tiny California hometown.

Three new movies are opening nationwide this week:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the dramatic thriller The Girl on the Train directed by Tate Taylor and starring Emily Blunt, Rebecca Ferguson, Haley Bennett, Justin Theroux, Luke Evans, Allison Janney, Edgar Ramirez, Lisa Kudrow and Laura Prepon. The film’s original music is composed by Danny Elfman (Batman, Spider-Man, Alice in Wonderland, Fifty Shades of Grey). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Also opening nationwide is the historical drama The Birth of a Nation directed by Nate Parker who also stars in the movie alongside Armie Hammer, Mark Boone Jr., Colman Domingo, Aunjanue Ellis, Dwight Henry, Gabrielle Union, Penelope Ann Miller and Jackie Earle Haley. Atlantic Records has released a soundtrack album featuring songs inspired by the film by artists such as Nas, Gucci Mane & Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Trey Songz & more. Click here for more information. Julian Wass Scoring ‘Blue Jay’
Julian Wass is composing the score for the upcoming indie drama Blue Jay. The film is directed by Alex Lehmann and stars Mark Duplass and Sarah Paulson. The movie follows two former high-school sweethearts who reflect on their shared past through the lens of their differently dissatisfied presents when they return to their tiny California hometown. Duplass has also written the screenplay and also serves as an executive producer on the project with his brother Jay. Mel Eslyn (The One I Love, Lamb) and Xan Aranda are producing the project.
