Milan Records has announced a soundtrack album for the horror thriller Boarding School. The album features the film’s original music composed by Lesley Barber (Manchester by the Sea, You Can Count On Me, Irreplaceable You, The Moth Diaries). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 28 and will be available to download on Amazon. Boarding School is written and directed by Boaz Yakin and stars Will Patton, Samantha Mathis, Luke Prael, Sterling Jerins, Nadia Alexander, Tammy Blanchard and Lucy Walters. The movie follows a young boy who becomes fascinated with the persona of his dead grandmother and is sent to an isolated boarding school for misfits.

Lesley Barber to Score ‘Adventures of a Mathematician’
Lesley Barber is attached to score the upcoming biographical drama Adventures of a Mathematician. The film is written and directed by Thorsten Klein (Lost Place) and stars Philippe Tlokinski, Esther Garrel, Sam Keeley and Joel Basman. The movie tells the story of legendary Polish-American scientist Stanislaw Ulam, whose work contributed to the development of the hydrogen bomb as well as computers.

Premiering tonight is the Starz docu-series Warriors of Liberty City executive produced by LeBron James & Maverick Carter about Liberty City – a crime-ridden neighborhood in Miami that is arguably the NFL’s largest, most successful football factory. Two new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this week:
Already playing in theaters nationwide since this past Wednesday is the historical thriller Operation Finale directed by Chris Weitz and starring Oscar Isaac, Ben Kingsley, Lior Raz, Melanie Laurent, Nick Kroll, Joe Alwyn, Haley Lu Richardson, Michael Aronov, Ohad Knoller and Greta Scacchi. The film’s original music is composed by Alexandre Desplat (The Shape of Water, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The King’s Speech, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows). Also opening wide is the sci-fi thriller Kin directed by Jonathan Baker & Josh Baker and starring Jack Reynor, Myles Truitt, Zoë Kravitz, Carrie Coon, Dennis Quaid and James Franco. Lesley Barber to Score Nisha Ganatra’s ‘Late Night’
Lesley Barber has been tapped to score the upcoming comedy Late Night. The film is directed by Nisha Ganatra and stars Emma Thompson, Mindy Kaling, John Lithgow, Hugh Dancy, Amy Ryan, Reid Scott, Paul Walter Hauser, Denis O’Hare, John Early, Max Casella and Megalyn Echikunwoke. The movie centers on a late-night talk show host who is at risk of losing her long-running show right when she hires her first female writer who revitalizes her show and her life. Kaling (The Mindy Project, The Office) also wrote the screenplay and is producing the Imperative Entertainment and FilmNation Entertainment production with Howard Klein (Jessica Jones).

Premiering tonight is the new HBO original series Here and Now created by Alan Ball (Six Feet Under, True Blood) and starring Tim Robbins, Holly Hunter, Jerrika Hinton, Daniel Zovatto, Raymond Lee, Sosie Bacon, Andy Bean, Joe Williamson and Peter Macdissi. Michael Penn (Girls, Masters of Sex, Boogie Nights, Sunshine Cleaning) is composing the show’s original score. The show’s original music is composed by Gabriel Gundacker who also voicing the characters of Donald Trump Jr. and Stephen Miller. Lesley Barber has been tapped to score the upcoming romantic drama Irreplaceable You. The film marks the feature directorial debut of producer Stephanie Laing (Veep, Vice Principals) and stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Michiel Huisman, Christopher Walken, Steve Coogan, Jacki Weaver, Timothy Simons, Claire Holt, Alanna Masterson, Merritt Weaver, Erin Richards and Brian Tyree Henry. The movie focuses on Abbie and Sam, soulmates since the age of 8, who were destined to be together forever until death got in the way. Bess Wohl wrote the screenplay.
Lesley Barber Scoring Rebecca Addelman’s ‘Paper Year’
Lesley Barber is composing the music for the upcoming romantic drama Paper Year. The movie marks the directorial debut of writer Rebecca Addelman (New Girl, Love) and stars Eve Hewson, Avan Jogia, Andie MacDowell and Hamish Linklater. The movie centers on a newly married couple who encounter obstacles that reveal cracks in their relationship forcing them to question whether they made a fully formed decision. Addelman also wrote the screenplay. Christina Piovesan (Regression, Amreeka, The Whistleblower) is producing the project for First Generation Films, alongside Jennifer Shin.

Lesley Barber has been hired to score the upcoming horror thriller Boarding School. The film is written and directed by Boaz Yakin (Remember the Titans, Fresh, Safe, Max) and stars Will Patton, Samantha Mathis, Sterling Jerins, Luke Prael and Tammy Blanchard. The movie is set in a mysterious boarding school where children deemed undesirable are committed and revolves around a 12-year-old boy who starts to suspect that something much more sinister than education is going on when one of the students is found dead.
