South Side Sound will release a soundtrack album for the indie dance supernatural fantasy romance Once Again (for the very first time). The album features the film’s original music composed by Marcus Norris (Lady in the Lake, Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul., Summer of Violence). The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 7 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Once Again (for the very first time) is written and directed by Boaz Yakin and stars Jeroboam Bozeman, Mecca Verdell, Emma Faith Bullard, Tommy Raps, Dupree Francois Porter and Jennifer Merin. The movie tells the story of a legendary dancer and a slam poet – both survivors of trauma and guilt – as they channel their pain into their art against the backdrop of the war zone of the New York streets.

Milan Records has announced a soundtrack album for the horror thriller Boarding School. The album features the film’s original music composed by Lesley Barber (Manchester by the Sea, You Can Count On Me, Irreplaceable You, The Moth Diaries). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 28 and will be available to download on Amazon. Boarding School is written and directed by Boaz Yakin and stars Will Patton, Samantha Mathis, Luke Prael, Sterling Jerins, Nadia Alexander, Tammy Blanchard and Lucy Walters. The movie follows a young boy who becomes fascinated with the persona of his dead grandmother and is sent to an isolated boarding school for misfits.

Lesley Barber has been hired to score the upcoming horror thriller Boarding School. The film is written and directed by Boaz Yakin (Remember the Titans, Fresh, Safe, Max) and stars Will Patton, Samantha Mathis, Sterling Jerins, Luke Prael and Tammy Blanchard. The movie is set in a mysterious boarding school where children deemed undesirable are committed and revolves around a 12-year-old boy who starts to suspect that something much more sinister than education is going on when one of the students is found dead.

The full details of the soundtrack album for the family adventure Max have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Trevor Rabin (Remember the Titans, Armageddon, National Treasure, Gone In 60 Seconds, Con Air). The soundtrack will be released on June 23, 2015 by Sony Classical and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Max is directed by Boaz Yakin and stars Josh Wiggins, Lauren Graham, Thomas Haden Church, Robbie Amell, Luke Kleintank and Jay Hernandez. The MGM production follows a young teen from a family dealing with loss, who finds friendship, comfort and adventure with the heroic military dog of his fallen brother, a United States Marine who served his country on the frontlines of the war in Afghanistan.
Trevor Rabin Scoring Boaz Yakin’s ‘Max’
Trevor Rabin is reuniting with director Boaz Yakin on the upcoming family adventure Max. The movie starring Josh Wiggins, Thomas Haden Church, Lauren Graham and Robbie Amell follows a wayward teen who befriends the military dog that was partnered to his older brother, a US Marine killed in action in Afghanistan. Yakin (Now You See Me, Safe, Fresh) has also written the screenplay with Sheldon Lettich (Lionheart, Bloodsport). Karen Rosenfelt (The Twilight Saga, Marley & Me, Percy Jackson series) and Ken Blancato are producing the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) production.

Film Music Reporter has learned that Mark Mothersbaugh has been hired to score the upcoming crime thriller Safe. In the movie, a former elite agent rescues a young Chinese girl carrying vital secrets that both the Chinese and Russian Mafia are intent on obtaining in order to blackmail world governments. The film starring Jason Statham, Chris Sarandon and Robert John Burke is directed by Boaz Yakin. Yakin previously worked with composers Trevor Rabin (Remember the Titans), Joel McNeely (Uptown Girls), Lesley Barber (A Price Above Rubies, Death in Love) and Stewart Copeland (Fresh) on his earlier movies. The film is produced by Lawrence Bender (producer on all Quentin Tarantino-directed movies), as well as Dana Brunetti and Kevin Spacey (The Social Network) through their company Trigger Street Productions.
