The full details of the soundtrack album for Disney’s comedy sequel Freakier Friday have been revealed. The album features the new cover of Pink Slip’s Take Me Away (previously released as a digital single earlier this month), as well as songs by cast members Lindsday Lohan, Julia Butters & Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, as well as The Beaches and Chantry Johnson. Also included are four tracks from the film’s original score composed by Amie Doherty (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Happiest Season, Spirit Untamed, Undone, The High Note, Please Don’t Destroy). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 1 by Hollywood Records and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. The film is directed by Nisha Ganatra (Late Night, Cake) and stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Lindsay Lohan, Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, Rosalind Chao, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Vanessa Bayer, Chad Michael Murray and Mark Harmon. The sequel to 2003’s hit movie Freaky Friday (scored by Rolfe Kent) takes place years after Tess & Anna endured an identity crisis as they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge and discover that lightning might indeed strike twice.

Republic Records has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the musical comedy drama The High Note. The album features the songs from the movie performed by actors Tracee Ellis Ross and Kelvin Harrison Jr, as well tracks by Donny Hathaway, Maxine Brown, Aretha Franklin and Anthony Ramos . Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins is producing the soundtrack, which will be released digitally on May 29 and will be available to stream/download here. As previously reported, the first track, Love Myself performed by Ross, is already available as a digital single. The film is directed by Nisha Ganatra (Late Night, Cake) and stars Dakota Johnson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Ice Cube, Zoe Chao, Eddie Izzard, Bill Pullman and Diplo. The movie is set in the dazzling world of the LA music scene and follows a superstar singer and her overworked personal assistant as they are presented with a choice that could alter the course of their respective careers. Flora Greeson wrote the screenplay. Tim Bevan & Eric Fellner (Atonement, Baby Driver, Love Actually, Rush) are producing the project for Working Title Films.

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the comedy drama Late Night. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, June 7 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Lesley Barber has been tapped to score the upcoming comedy Late Night. The film is directed by Nisha Ganatra and stars Emma Thompson, Mindy Kaling, John Lithgow, Hugh Dancy, Amy Ryan, Reid Scott, Paul Walter Hauser, Denis O’Hare, John Early, Max Casella and Megalyn Echikunwoke. The movie centers on a late-night talk show host who is at risk of losing her long-running show right when she hires her first female writer who revitalizes her show and her life. Kaling (The Mindy Project, The Office) also wrote the screenplay and is producing the Imperative Entertainment and FilmNation Entertainment production with Howard Klein (Jessica Jones).
