Opening in theaters nationwide today is the fantasy action adventure Monster Hunter written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and stars Milla Jovovich, Tony Jaa, Tip ‘T.I.’ Harris, Diego Boneta, Meagan Good, Jin Au-Yeung, Josh Helman and Ron Perlman. The film’s original music is composed by Paul Haslinger (Underworld, Halt and Catch Fire, The Three Musketeers, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, Death Race, Crank). Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this month. Also opening wide is the thriller Fatale directed by Deon Taylor and starring Hilary Swank, Michael Ealy, Mike Colter, Danny Pino and Tyrin Turner. Geoff Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean:Dead Men Tell No Tales, Disturbia, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Christopher Robin) has composed the film’s original music. The only movie opening in theaters nationwide this week is the political thriller Infidel written and directed by Cyrus Nowrasteh and starring Jim Caveziel, Claudia Karvan, Hal Ozsan, Stelio Savante and Aly Kassem. The album features the film’s original music composed by Natalie Holt (The Honourable Woman, Journey’s End, Knightfall, Press, Beecham House, Deadwater Fell). No word on a soundtrack release. The movie, which revolves around an American journalist/blogger who is kidnapped while attending a conference in the Middle East and is put on trial for trumped-up charges of espionage, is being released by Cloudburst Entertainment.

Already playing in around 400 theaters since this past Wednesday is the thriller The Secrets We Keep co-written and directed by Yuval Adler and starring Noomi Rapace, Joel Kinnaman, Chris Messina and Amy Seimetz. John Paesano (The Maze Runner, Daredevil, Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, The Star, My All American, When the Game Stands Tall) has composed the film’s original music. ‘Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs’ Soundtrack Details

Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the animated feature Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs. The album features the film’s original score composed by Geoff Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Disturbia, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Christopher Robin, Disturbia, The Odd Life of Timothy Green). Also included are the songs Something So Beautiful performed by Giuseppe Izzo and Start of Something Right and This Is Me by Jordyn Kane. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 26 and will be available to stream/download here. Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs is directed by SungHo Hong and features the voices of Chloë Grace Moretz, Gina Gershon and Sam Claflin. The movie follows a group of princes who have been turned into dwarfs and seek the red shoes of a lady in order to break the spell.

The film’s original music is composed by Geoff Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Disturbia, The Odd Life of Timothy Green). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score on Thursday. Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the Australian comedy drama Babyteeth directed by Shannon Murphy and starring Eliza Scanlen, Toby Wallace, Emily Barclay, Eugene Gilfedder, Essie Davis and Ben Mendelsohn. Amanda Jones (Son of a Lion, Look Both Ways) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been released. The movie, which revolves around a family that juggles first love, suburban malaise, and heavy pharmaceuticals, premiered at last year’s Venice Film Festival and is being released in the U.S. by IFC Films. Opening in most theaters is the fantasy adventure Maleficent: Mistress of Evil directed by Joachim Rønning and starring Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sam Riley, Ed Skrein, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville. The film’s original music is composed Geoff Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Disturbia, Christopher Robin). Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as an original song performed by Bebe Rexha. Click here for the full album details.

Also opening wide is the horror comedy Zombieland: Double Tap directed by Ruben Fleischer and starring Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin, Rosario Dawson, Zoey Deutch and Luke Wilson. David Sardy (21, End of Watch, Bright, Premium Rush) who has composed the music for the 2009 original movie has composed the sequel’s original score. Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album for the fantasy adventure Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. Geoff Zanelli to Score Deon Taylor’s ‘Black and Blue’

Composer Geoff Zanelli is reteaming with director Deon Taylor on the upcoming thriller Black and Blue. The film starring Naomie Harris, Frank Grillo, Mike Colter, Nafessa Williams, Reid Scott, Beau Knapp, James Moses Black, Frankie Smith and Tyrese Gibson follows a rookie New Orleans cop who rounds the corner just as corrupt narc officers are murdering a drug dealer, an event captured by her body cam. Peter A. Dowling (Flightplan) wrote the screenplay. Sean Sorensen (Mayhem) is producing the project.
